Ren didn't know the meaning of love until he took Della for his own. To begin with, he hated her, but as the months bled into years, he learned the opposite of hate, dedicating his life to giving her everything. Every sacrifice, every gift, he gave wholeheartedly. I have to admit, that this book is one of the best that I have ever read and I have read a lot, over 500 books in my library. I was gripped to the very end, It almost felt that the book was based on someone’s life’s history, it felt so real and I immersed myself deeply with REN and
Della, cried and sobbed at the ending. Their love for each other was told beautifully. The first book , The boy and his ribbon must be read first to understand the second book .

When an FBI Internal Affairs investigation lands the Preternatural Crimes Unit in a bureaucratic spank-fest, it feels like the perfect time for Marnie Baranuik to skip town and lend her expertise to a bear-sized Canadian cop who doesn't want her help with his case, his love life, or his car stereo. Back in her childhood stomping grounds, Marnie leaps into action, facing an exorcist in skinny jeans, a slap-happy specter, and an old friend up to new tricks. Are ghosts behind a string of unusual deaths?

More than two centuries after World War III poisoned the planet, the final bastion of humanity lives on massive airships circling the globe in search of a habitable area to call home. Aging and outdated, most of the ships plummeted back to Earth long ago. The only thing keeping the two surviving lifeboats in the sky are Hell Divers - men and women who risk their lives by diving to the surface to scavenge for parts the ships desperately need.

It's not easy, being king. You can't always rule a kingdom and still do what needs to be done. Eric - or King Halar, also known as the Demon King - has more than enough problems without the crown. But quitting the job of king isn't easy, either - unless you want to be beheaded. Most people regard that as an unsatisfactory way to quit. Even vampire lords tend to be cautious about guillotines. A king who loses his head has a real problem...or none at all.

What a clever, talented and witty author. Goes to one of the top of my best authors list. Gave me many, many happy hours of listening, I do love lengthy, interesting great stories to listen to in one go and this series was the best.the only downfalls were the sometimes lengthy monologues of his difficult theories of mathematics and science of how he worked things out in his mind-non of which I understood. Sounded a bit like Stephen Hawkins . No offence to Mr Hawkins he was a brilliant man with a brilliant mind , but way above my intelligence and understanding. I just skipped over those chapters. I. Would certainly recommend this series .

Rose Drayton lives on the Edge, between the world of the Broken (where people drive cars, shop at Wal-Mart, and magic is a fairy tale) and the Weird (where blueblood aristocrats rule, changelings roam, and the strength of your magic can change your destiny). Only Edgers like Rose can easily travel from one world to the next, but they never truly belong in either.
