Smolder is book 2 in the Ignite series by Nora Phoenix and narrated by Kenneth Obi. Book 2 was even better than Book 1 and was full of excitement as our 3 MCs (Tan, Mack and Austin) explore new challenges. The narration was flawless in book 1 and that continued for this addition to the story as well. I love his take on Mack, but Pax may be a close second. I love how their relationship is continuously growing and changing overtime, much like the each of the characters themselves, which I thought added a lot to the story. I can’t wait to see how it continues in book 3.

Unexpected is book 1 in the Island Duet by Alyne Hart and is narrated by Isabella Starr. I really wanted to like this one because I love a good MFM story, and I did enjoy the story. However, the narration just wasn’t my favorite. I liked her voice for Amie and for the internal monologues, but I had a harder time connecting to the male characters. I couldn’t really tell them apart, so I had to keep going back. All that being said, I will still listen to book 2, because while I didn’t 100% love the narration, the narration didn’t detract from the story, so it was still a good, solid listen. Feisty is book 3 in the Do-Over Series by Julia Kent. This book may just be favorite of the entire series because it made me laugh uncontrollable more times than I could count. I absolutely adore the chemistry from Fletch and Fiona and I also loved getting to see the rest of the gang as well. I will never be able to think about bears the same way again either. The narration by Erin Mallon is flawless, just as it has been in the rest of this series. She truly rocks at capturing the voices of Fiona, Mallory and Perky and each of their better halves. If you want to laugh until your chest hurts, then you should read this ASAP. AudiobookObsessionReviewer🎧

Fallen University (Year 2) is book 2 in the Fallen University series by Callie Rose and narrated by Lia Holland. I love Callie Rose and Lia Holland and they are both on my favorite lists of authors and narrators, but I just couldn’t get into this one. I realize that Piper is a succubus, so sexual energy is her lifeline, but I needed less feeding time and more plot. It almost seemed like every other scene was a make out scene and it made it feel like more of filler book, than anything else. Once again, I don’t mind the steam, but I just needed more plot. The narration was outstanding. Lia Holland rocks this book and all the characters and is the only reason I listened all the way to the end. All that being said, in true Callie Rose fashion, the ending pulled me right back in, so I'm excited about book 3.

Fallen University (Year 1) is book 1 in the Fallen University Series by Callie Rose. I’ve been making my way through this everything by this author and book 1 of this PNR did not disappoint. I loved Piper, and her harem of bonded men. This book has all of the typical Callie Rose ingredients: sassy heroine, reverse harem romance, classic mean girls that you really want to hit, loyal friendships, steamy scenes and a whole lot of angsts. The main difference is the addition of mythical creatures who are secluded in a magical university. My one complaint, is I had a hard time following the timeline, because it seemed to jump around a lot with little warning, so I had to do a lot of re-listening, but other than that it was an enjoyable listen.

I enjoyed the narration by Lia Holland so much. She had distinct voices for each character and I never had any issue keeping track of who was who. I’m looking forward to book 2.

Embracing Faith is book 1 in the Embrace series by M.A. Innes and narrated by Kenneth Obi. Let me start by saying that I adore these characters. I may have even enjoyed Jameson so much more listening to the book, then I originally did when first read it. I found his interactions with Beckett and Cody to be almost comedic and sassy, to the point that I found myself giggling several times. I also loved Ford and Cody from just about the beginning. My issue with this book is that while I realize that it is classified as a slow-burn romance, it felt more like an exercise in patience. It just felt very slow and even though I loved the interactions, the speed at which we got them was difficult, perhaps even more so, because I enjoyed these characters so much. I will say that the audio made the pace of the story much more manageable because it allowed me to get wrapped up in the characters and watch the story unfold. The narration was outstanding, and each character’s voice fit perfectly with what I had envisioned. If I had to pick a favorite vocal performance, it would be Jameson, because those were the scenes, I enjoyed the most and like I said earlier, I found the audio to be far funnier than when I first read it.

I highly recommend this book if you are fan of slow-burn MMM romances with a side of ageplay.

It’s Just Us is a standalone MM ageplay romance by R Phoenix and Chris McHart. I thought I had read this book previously, but I hadn’t, which made this audio an unexpected surprise. The story is full of sweetness and plenty of cuddles between Micah and his daddy, Carter. One thing I loved about it, was that this could be a good book to introduce someone to the kink, because so few books really explain it to this degree. I loved Micah and his innocence, but I also loved how accepting he was, and how he adapted in such a short period of time. The narration by Kenneth Obi was amazing and I truly believe that his vocal range is perfect for these types of stories where you have these contrasting dynamics between the MCs, (i.e. one is innocent and sweet and the other is more dominant and growly). I’m always amazed at how quickly and how seamlessly he can switch between the two and it makes every book more enjoyable. Definitely recommend if you enjoy sweet and sappy MM ageplay romances with very little angst.

This boxset is for books 1-4 of the Alexa O’Brien Huntress series by Trina Lee. Trina Lee was a new author for me, but I loved this series. This was also the longest audio I have ever listened to date, so I was surprised by how it managed to keep me interested and engaged for the entire 40 hours. I’m really new to PNR, and every series seems to have its own take on the mythology, which can be a bit confusing, but I think book 1, particularly, did a good job of introducing everything. I absolutely love Alexa. She’s an unapologetic, strong heroine with immense power and I enjoyed the fact that her strength and power weren’t dumbed down, compared to the other characters.

The narration may just be my favorite thing with this series. I also had not listened to Sarah Puckett before and now I’m adding her books to my wishlist, because she rocked it. Her characterization of Alexa was gold and I also loved her take on the other characters. It was a seamless and enjoyable listen from start to finish and I can’t wait to listen to more of this series in the future. AudiobookObsessionReviewer🎧

Pixie is book 5in the Ballsy Boys series by K.M. Neuhold and Nora Phoenix and narrated by Kenneth Obi. This was my favorite in the series when I first read it and the same holds true for the audio. It feels a little slower than the previous books, but I think that has more to do with the fact that you have already heard many of these scenes from the other characters point of view, in the previous books. This probably wouldn’t have been as noticeable to me had I not been listening to the series back to back. All that being said, it’s still my favorite because I have adored Bear and Pixie from book 1 and I couldn’t wait to hear their backstories. I also couldn’t wait to hear it with Kenneth’s narration and boy did he deliver. The growly voice for Bear could not have been better and was exactly what I imagined when I first read it months ago. This was an excellent conclusion to the Ballsy Boys series, and I hope these characters continue to pop up in some of K.M. Neuhold and Nora Phoenix’s other books, as I’m not ready to let them go just yet.

Overall, the story is great, the characters are strong, yet also vulnerable, and the narration is outstanding. If you haven’t started this series yet, click add to cart immediately.

Ten days is the fourth book in the Slippery Curves Series by Adele Niles. It is a short, insta-love story that will also appeal to age-gap and curvy-girl fans alike. This installment is all about Lanie, a young, curvy girl who takes a temp job and falls for the sexy, and much older CEO. Dorian is all alpha, but he’s immediately drawn to Lanie. This story has plenty of steam, but it also has a decent plot. This book is narrated by Randi Johnson, who gets better with every installment. His deep, textured voice is perfect for this series and I enjoyed hearing his take on the characters.

If you like short, insta-love stories that combine age-gap plus curvy girl and an alpha male, then you will likely enjoy this one as much as I did.
