I have stolen princesses back from sleeping barrow kings. I burned down the town of Trebon. I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life. I was expelled from the university at a younger age than most people are allowed in. I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during day. I have talked to Gods, loved women, and written songs that make the minstrels weep. My name is Kvothe. You may have heard of me.

One of the world’s most recognisable sci-fi stories, H. G. Wells’ The War of The Worlds established numerous conventions for the genre, including the threat of an invasive extraterrestrial species, space travel and intergalactic conflict, inspiring directors, gamers, producers and writers alike with its sobering story of struggle and survival. Marrying the suspense, drama and urgency of Wells’ original novel with Jeff Wayne’s rousing and flamboyant score, Audible’s new and exclusive dramatisation uses action, narration, original music and evocative sound design to immerse listeners in a world that’s as thrilling as it is desolate.

I believe James Comey. I believe he has been the victim of terrible work place bullying of which that bullying has been aided and abetted by lickspittles of the bully. I believe that because of James Comey's own integrity he found himself caught up on the receiving end of a vindictive act of aggression design to cower him . I applaud James Comey for writing AND narrating this book, for standing up for the true values of his country....honour, truth and integrity. May God bring justice for him and restore him to the work he loves.

Then an intense snowstorm strands a group of travelers at Pemberley, and terrifying accidents and mysterious deaths begin to plague the manor. Everyone seems convinced that it is the work of a phantom - a Shadow Man who is haunting the Darcy family’s grand estate.

Another tale in the lives of Darcy and Elizabeth, this time with the now deranged Mr Wickham taking revenge. The story itself was enjoyable...read like an Agetha Christie novel set in the Recency period. My only criticism is the endless (and in my opinion) needless reference to Darcy and Elizabeth's sexual doings....one good scene would have been enough for the purposes of the story. However, enjoyable.....I'm sure Miss Austen would approve 😁

The Greek myths are amongst the greatest stories ever told, passed down through millennia and inspiring writers and artists as varied as Shakespeare, Michelangelo, James Joyce and Walt Disney. They are embedded deeply in the traditions, tales and cultural DNA of the West. You'll fall in love with Zeus, marvel at the birth of Athena, wince at Cronus and Gaia's revenge on Ouranos, weep with King Midas and hunt with the beautiful and ferocious Artemis.
