When Cathy finds an unexpected package on the door step her life changes. Her husband Darren has been kidnapped and to get him back alive she must give medication to one of her patients which may kill him. She has no choice but to go through with it, or does she? An intriguing tale beautifully narrated by Bill Nevitt.

Another enjoyable cruise with Rachel Prince. Rachel is on a holiday cruise with her parents and friend Lady Marjorie Snellthorpe when things turn murderous. Rachel dices with death but finally manages to identify the culprit. A great who done it.

A great compilation of the popular character of Agatha Raisin, delightfully portrayed by Penelope Keith.

A helpful book, a bit too involved for me but may be of great use to others.

A good attempt at recreating Jack Frost which sadly failed for me. Jack is a likeable, haphazard, disorganised but successful policeman. Here he is described more as slovenly and rather distasteful which does the character a great disservice. The format of the story is good and sticks to the tried and tested formula.

A great start to a new series set in the early 1960s. Trudie Loveday has a pretty boring existence as a WPC, making tea and typing reports, the real policing is left to the men. When the Coroner asks for assistance on a case no one realises how this will change Trudie’s career, least of all Trudie herself. A great story.

Another wonderful story from Phillipa Ashley, the third in this series. The beautiful setting of Porthmellow is the backdrop to romance and love. The story includes the well loved characters from the previous books, I love that Troy calls ladies ‘maid’. I really enjoyed a few hours of escape to Cornwall. Looking forward to the next instalment.

Excellent. I really enjoy spending time with Alex and her colleagues, Jill is a hoot! An intriguing story that reaches into the past and a couple of near misses for Alex. The badgers were quite interesting too. I will definitely be reading the next in the series.

Wow, what a story. When Libby Jones turns 25 she receives a letter regarding her inheritance which has been held in trust until now. Libby was adopted as a baby and the unfurling tale of her family is astounding. A real page turner.

Eve Mallow investigates another murder in Saxford St Peter, this time at Seagrave Hall. She is, as always one step ahead of the local police and despite all the red herrings works out the sad reason behind the death. A lighthearted who done it.
