When Jessica Farris signs up for a psychology study conducted by the mysterious Dr Shields, she thinks all she’ll have to do is answer a few questions, collect her money and leave. But as the questions grow more and more intense and invasive, and the sessions become outings where Jess is told what to wear and how to act, she begins to feel as though Dr Shields may know what she’s thinking...and what she’s hiding. As Jess’ paranoia grows, it becomes clear that she can no longer trust what is real in her life and what is one of Dr Shields’ manipulative experiments.

The story was strange. Not what I expected. I listened to the end, but the narrator was the worst of any audiobook I have listened to. It ruined the overall experience for me.

Her finances, her routine and her contact with the outside world are all controlled. Annie's only reason for holding it together is her little boy. The storyline is similar to many other audiobooks books I have listened to- - -wife with controlling, abusive husband, yet with a twist. There were unexpected situations. Really a good “read”/listen. The narration was outstanding. I finished it in a little over a day!

This was no accident.... Haunting, compelling, this psychological thriller will have you hooked. Perfect for fans of Gone Girl and Daughter. Best friends are there for each other through thick and thin. You trust them with your life. At least that's what Emma, Daisy, Leanne, and Al think. But all that changes when they embark on a trip of a lifetime together. When they return home, only two of them are left alive, and the group has been torn apart by lies and deception.

I tried to give it a chance to get better. It never did. Hated the plot and the characters. I feel like I wasted a credit. I really like this author but this one is terrible.

"My name is Amber Reynolds. There are three things you should know about me. I'm in a coma. My husband doesn't love me anymore. Sometimes I lie." Unnerving, twisted and utterly compelling, you won't be able to put this new thriller down. Set to be the most talked about book in 2017, it's perfect for fans of Behind Closed Doors, The Girl on the Train and The Widow.

Gripping and packed with twists and turns, this stunning thriller will make you question whether we can ever really trust the ones we love.... What if your whole life was based on lies? When Joe Lynch stumbles across his wife driving into a hotel car park while she's supposed to be at work, he's intrigued enough to follow her in. And when he witnesses her in an angry altercation with family friend Ben, he knows he ought to intervene.

I read/listen to a lot of detective/crime/thrillers and I have to say this one kept me listening and waiting to see how the story unfolded. Many books of this genre can be quite predictable and this one had some unexpected twists and turns. I'm already looking for more AB's from this author.
