There are so many things wrong with this story. If you are a fan of 'PS I love you' then you should avoid listening to this. It seems like completely different characters, just with the same names and a loose link to the first book.

There are a number of discrepancies from the first book, two that spring to mind - in the first book Richard worked in a lab, however in this book he was an accountant. In the first book, it's noted that Denise has known Holly since she was 20. In this book, she went to school with her.

The narrator is AWFUL. She reads so fast, sounds like she is chronically depressed and also so unnecessarily intense throughout. It. Is. Awful. The editing leaves a lot to be desired, there is even a section where the narrator talks to someone off script (chapter 30). It's bizarre.

As a stand alone story it would be fine. But as a sequel to PS I love you, it's just severely lacking. Wouldn't recommend.

This book was really addictive, I enjoyed it. The performance was a little shaky at times, with long pauses mid sentence, and a complete disregard for full stops. I had hoped that certain characters stories would have ended differently, but I can continue their story myself.

I enjoyed this, definitely a treat jerker at the end. listen at 1.25 for a normal pace as the narrator is incredibly slow.

It's a good listen once you get past the first 2 hours or so, the beginning is pretty confusing but stick with it if you can and the middle and end are good.

Though I thoroughly enjoyed this story, it did read a bit like a fan fic in this final book. Matthew seemed to know everyone of significance in history, had made or had involvement in every important moment in history etc etc. It was historically inaccurate in places and seemed like the author was randomly pushing things in to the story. I did not like the random music played at the beginning and end of the book, blah. I felt like the story lost it's way in the trilogy, it started out with the congregation being the big scary enemy but then in the final book they are mostly forgotten and it's now Benjamin - and when you meet the congregation they're quite insignificant. However, as I said initially if you can get past all this and enjoy it for what it is then it's great.

I loved the story and was completely addicted, listening as much as possible. I didn't much enjoy the narrator, I found her accents shocking and her changing intimations a little irritating. Overall though the story was still great to listen to!
