Eve Glace - co-owner of the theme park Winterworld - is having a baby, and her due date is a perfectly timed 25th December. And she’s decided that she and her husband, Jacques, should renew their wedding vows with all the pomp and Christmas ceremony that was missing from the first time round. But things keep going wrong in Winterworld - is it because the the usually competent site manager, Effin Williams, has lost his focus, or is there something more sinister going on?

Enjoyed. The highs and lows of the three main characters kept me listening. Appreciated the humour and blending of the characters lives which worked well.

On July 1-3, 2011, Marianne Williamson taught a workshop on A Course in Miracles in Los Angeles, California. The topic of the weekend was how miracles - shifts in thinking from fear to love - make all the difference in how we live and how we feel. Learning to think differently - to stand psychologically and emotionally on a different ground of being - is the spiritual journey from anxiety to inner peace.

Would you try another book written by Shonda Rhimes or narrated by Shonda Rhimes?

No

What was most disappointing about Shonda Rhimes’s story?

I was hoping to be inspired, or at least interested, but the repetitive nature of the account really did not suit my tastes. One sentence is repeated and said in three or four different ways. Occasional use of repetition for effect I can understand, but it was overused. The whole slow style did not suit my taste. Sorry.

What aspect of Shonda Rhimes’s performance might you have changed?

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Frustration

Any additional comments?

Could have been more interesting if written in a different style; just my opinion, and perhaps unsuitable for my personal taste, so apologies to the author who is an accomplished writer in the t.v. genre.
