Cameron is a tomboy, like sports and most of her friends are boys. When her twin brother's best friend Jake is caught in her bedroom with another girl, she becomes annoyed, but is it because he was in her bed? Or is it because it wasn't her? This is sweet story of growing up, self realization and figuring out who you really are. I enjoyed Cam as she matured and realized what life would have in store for her. Her journey is one that I found easily relatable, and I fell back into that time of insecurity as a teen. With his family life and his mature outlook, Jake is more complex than I expected. Together, we get a little teenage angst and enjoy watching their relationship grow as they get older. Breakout character is Kyle, Cam's best friend. What a great personality he brings in!

Sarah Sampino's performance of Tomboy is wonderful. I love her voice. She easily modeled her characters with that teen angst using voices that were a good fit for the age of Cam and Jake. I like her pace and style of narration, giving my ears hours of enjoyment.

The thing I love the most about suspense thrillers is what I can learn from the author. This well researched story had me riveted to my seat! Claudia is an expert witness for forensic handwriting and after a prominent case is badly beaten. From this, the fear of more retaliation is real and Claudia goes to her friend Daphne's to heal, leaving her fiance Joel behind. He is a cop and is investigating a mailbox bombing. With so much going on, Claudia finds her skills in demand and she is busier than ever. Will she find her confidence again or is the fear warranted? This tale of mystery, intrigue and international crime leads us to all kinds of suspects. The writing is impeccable and kept me fascinated. I loved learning about handwriting and what an expert can derive from a loop or a slant. It's incredible to know so much is stored in a line of handwritten text! I would definitely recommend this and look forward to going back in the series.

Anna Crowe does an amazing job narrating this story. It's my first listen by her and I love her voice! She is just as mysterious and entertaining as the story, giving each character their own personality and made the listen intriguing.

This book had me entranced all day while I was listening. MK Chester writes this story taking place almost 100 years ago, but the story transcends time. Ben has recently been released from jail for murder. When he bumps into Heather, the girl he saved when he committed the crime, their instant attraction is strong, but their connection from history even stronger. Ben's past is something that continually haunts him, and when new murders begin to start, there is no other suspect. Or is there? This book is full of suspense, intrigue, faith, hope and love. I found myself immersed in the book trying to figure out the hows and whys of what happened. It includes so many topics that are still prevalent, from mental illness to domestic abuse and it's intricately woven into a love and redemption story.

Jennifer Groberg captures each of the characters perfectly. Her narration is wonderfully executed, each person with their own voice, the right amount of angst and emotion. I think she did a beautiful job with it and look forward to more.

When characters cook together, I am immediately immersed in their story. May is getting ready to take over her parents restaurant, and needs to find a husband to meet their criteria. Jumping on the web, she joins a matchmaking site. When paired with Kurt, a cowboy, she is both attracted to him and concerned that another cowboy will not work out for her. When their churches have a cooking contest that requires pairs, the two team up to make the best meal. But will their attraction and enjoyment in the kitchen be enough to hold them together? I loved this book. From the mac and cheese to these two figuring out what makes them happy. Their age is not the typical new adult or early 30's but it is refreshing to have a story revolving around the late 30's and 40's. A certain level of maturity is in place and I think the thought processes are a little different as they find their way. With a lot tears, smiles and pecan pie, their faith is what truly brings them through..

Caroline McLaughlin is a wonderful narrator. I love her voices and inflections that she has. I especially love that her voice is very comforting, it has that warm quality of home. I loved her performance.

I have been waiting for Sully's story, and finally get my chance to hear it! This second chance romance stole my heart. Carson and Sloan were high school sweethearts. Circumstances and poor communication tore them apart, and left both broken. Now that Sloan is back in Golden Beach, will she and Sully reconcile? I love their story. It's not an easy journey for them to find their way back and their struggle tugged at my heart. Yes, I was frustrated at times, angry and caught up in their drama, but it was a . So much miscommunication and speculation took us on the emotional roller coaster and finished the series with a beautiful ending. I am so sad to see it end! Kim Loraine is one of my favorites, and this contemporary series is one I have thoroughly enjoyed.

The narration of this book is wonderful. With Zachary Webber as Sully, we get his pain and emotional turmoil so clearly and can feel his love shining through. Lacy Laurel gives us Sloan with her hesitancy and push-pull with Sully. I loved the way their voices compliment each other how the feels just come through. This is a great team to end the series with bringing the culmination of Golden Beach together and giving me all the feels and love.

Whenever Barbara Goss releases an audio, I can't wait to listen. This one has taken my heart! Nathan is a soldier, wounded in the line of duty. Not expected to live, his best friend Ben suggests he marry his sister, Allie so that Nathan's daughter will be well taken care of. Marriage by proxy, Allie becomes his wife, but ends up going to his home prior to his death. And with the help of good care, a fighting will and love, Nathan recovers! But now what will happen? I fell in love with this couple. Nathan is a broken man, a young widow and has had trouble with relationships. Allie is convinced that she should be a spinster, but truly loves her new stepdaughter and feels at home with Nathan. The two have issues well beyond their own relationship. Will their faith guide them to be together? It's a lovely story, and it is a smart, loving and well written listen.

Leonor A Woodworth brings this story to life. I love anything she narrates, always full of emotion and paced perfectly. I love her array of voices and she can portray characters in a way that I feel that I know them. She does a wonderful job with Nathan and Allie, and she is spot on with their daughter! Loved it!

Sara Fields takes me completely out of my comfort zone and I think that is why I enjoy these dark, reverse harems! Alaina is setting out to find her sister who has been kidnapped by the Vakarran. Now she too is captured by 4 Vakarran, and finds out they are nothing like what she expects. These 4 men start her training right away, and the 5 of them fall in love. Protecting Alaina at all costs, these 4 men are willing to give their lives, but will they have to? Does Alaina find her sister? This is a hot, passionate story, full of stereotypes, they all have to get past what they perceive to be true and find their reality. I loved the chemistry, and especially the different personalities of each Vakarran. With the different traits, it's easy to see how Alaina falls for them and can understand what happened to her sister. The question now is what will happen next? Looking forward to book 3!

Heather Firth does a fabulous job with the narration of this erotic sci fi story! I love that she has a different male voice for each Vakarran and it's easy to tell which on it is. With so many POV's that could be difficult, but she flows through the performance with ease. It's rich, emotional, hot and an all around great listen! Can't ask for a better portrayal!

MK Chester's All in Good Time started my afternoon off yesterday, and I was completely engrossed in the story! Elizabeth has come to Bryeton to escape her family and begin her life as a spinster. She is the town school teacher and did not count on falling for both Jake Ryan and his son, Charlie. Jake is a war veteran and a single father left by his wife. He did not plan on finding love again, but when Elizabeth comes into his life, he realizes things are changing. I loved the style in which MK Chester wrote this story. She includes several tropes, single fatherhood and second chances at love which are melded together and create a feeling of hope. There are a few unexpected twists, some playground scuffles and a lot of heart warming love. I think Charlie is the star of this one, his secondary story is one I see happening even in today's world and love how Chester handled him. He is a great little boy!

This is my first narration by Elizabeth Kelly, and I really enjoyed her performance. She has a beautifully, melodic voice, kept the characters easily distinguishable and her pace was perfect. I will look for more by her.

Survive the Fall is everything I love in a listen. It's romantic suspense, well developed characters and just enough steam! This is my first book by Julia Bright, and I hope it is not my last! Kelsey has just lost all of her loved ones, and seeks refuge in a one night stand. Adam is trying to adjust to civilian life after serving his country and dealing with PTSD. This unlikely couple meets and the chemistry is off the charts. When Kelsey begins a trek on a dangerous journey, Adam turns up to keep her safe. Will he be able to or is she in over her head? This story has so many great elements packed into it. Both characters are intense and interesting, but have deep flaws. I love that in a story, not having perfection always makes the story more real. Their mission is one we can all relate to, and as the story unfolds, and we meet different characters, it's hard to know who to trust and who is not. It's extremely well thought out, very suspenseful and full of romance and passion.

Jill Smith delivers a wonderful narration for this story. Her voice is one I could listen to regularly, with easy to distinguish voices, the perfect pacing and the inflection of fear, determination and love that is evident just from her performance. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next in the Dark Eagle series.
