When you need a story that is heart warming and just makes you feel good, this Heart of the Family series are the books you want! Stacy Eaton's Roses & Champagne kisses delivers it all. Finley loves catering, but hates her current job and abusive relationship. When Robyn offers her a place at Heart of the Family Catering, she jumps on the chance and begins her new life. Roan is a widow, who does a background check on Finley and is taken with her when they first meet. Now ready after 6 years of being alone, he makes his move. But is Finley ready? I found myself wrapped up in this couple all day! Finley is very capable, which I love in a woman. She is strong, smart, beautiful, but does lack a little confidence when it comes to Roan. Roan on the other hand is so secure in who he is and what he wants, he just exudes confidence. I love their banter, and I love the situations the two find themselves in.There is some suspense, but not too much, and the results are so rewarding. Rye, Roan's twin is an interesting character. His nonchalance should prove to be a front in our next installment of this series. At least I hope it is!! I have a feeling there is more to him than meets the eye!

Lisa Beacom is a wonderful narrator and I enjoyed her performance in this book. She has an easy going lilt in her voice and it comes through her portrayals as a relaxing listen. She tells the story so well that it pulls us in and invests us in the outcome. A fun and entertaining listen from Eaton and Beacom.

A fun, slightly angsty second chance romance, Gianna Gabriela takes us in and has us fall in love with Christian, Amari and Ari. Single dad Christian is called into school with his daughter Ari is part of a fight. Concern for his daughter does not even come close to the surprise he has when he meets with the principal. No other than Amari, his high school sweetheart. The girl he broke up with. Amari is shocked and her hurt comes back full force. Will these two find their second chance? I love the Gabriela's style. She writes with such feeling and emotion that it's easy to get caught up in the story. This second chance, single dad romance pushes all the buttons and is an enjoyable listen.

Lacy Laurel and Matthew Cohn dually narrate this story. Their voices are perfect for the characters, right down to Ari's 6 year old voice and gives us all the feels. They compliment each other and bring out the true feelings in this book. A great performance for an afternoon of entertainment.

From the very start, Sawyer Bennett drew me into the world of August and Leighton. High school sweethearts, one day they were happy and the next day Leighton was gone, without a word and without a trace. Now 10 years later, she shows up in Vegas on August's doorstep. What does she want? August was happy with his life. He loves his job and his experiences at the Wicked Horse. Now with Leighton back, will his life change? Oh my God, this is a roller coaster of emotions. Not only do we have the sizzling chemistry between August and Leighton, but the secrets she reveals are emotional and dangerous. Her father is quite the character, adding another dynamic to this couple, and their journey into reconnecting is just amazing. From trips to the Wicked Horse to just being together, this couple exudes passion. I love Bennett's writing, her way of getting us to connect to the characters and the stories are complete entertainment.

Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh are an amazing team. Experiencing them as August and Leighton is a treat! Greenfield is the perfect alpha, growlie male and creates a fantastic character as August. Just the right amount of tenderness with is over protectiveness makes him the perfect hero. Leigh is feisty as Leighton. She knows what she needs, and her voice emotes the perfect inflections in every scene. These two work so well together and gave an incredible performance.

I was so excited to get to hear the end of Samantha and Liam's story and I was not disappointed! These two have been through so much! This picks up where the second book left off, as Liam recovers from a gunshot wound. Willing to take a bullet for Samantha says so much! The push-pull continues with this taboo relationship, but Samantha does not give up! And the action surrounding her performance, along with the impending danger is thrilling. Some surprising characters pop up and some interesting revelations occur.I loved their story from start to finish, and Warren did them justice in the end!

The team of Teddy Hamilton and Grace Grant finish out the series with their wonderful narration. I really enjoyed Hamilton's portrayal of Liam. He gives him an edge of malice with conflicting tenderness that just suits his personality. Grant is confident and secure as Samantha, and with her inflections lets us know exactly how she is feeling. A fantastic performance by both made this trilogy enjoyable!

Daring the Judge is the perfect mix of steamy passion and suspense. Sienna is so confident in her job as a judge but when it comes to a personal life, she hides. Maddie, her best friend gives her a challenge and as a result they end up at a sex club. Totally out of her comfort zone, Sienna hooks up with ever so self assured owner of the club, Jake. Their one night ends up to be the best and worst night. Now the only way out their dilemmas is up to the two of them. Or is it? Ann Omasta writes such good stories. She makes Sienna very real, with her ease of what she knows and her fear of the unknown. I love that she gives us Maddie adding that comic relief and Jake is just a swoon worthy man! The suspense is high, the passion heated and it’s an all around good story. Omasta narrated the book so we get to hear it exactly as she intends. I love it!

Kimberly Readnour knows how to write a book that catches my interest and keeps me engaged. Braxton is the star of his college baseball team, and can be with any girl he wants. But Kara, the one he has taken an interest in gives him the cold shoulder. Does this deter the man? Not in the least. He will do what it takes to win her. Kara has her reasons for staying away from Braxton, but the pull may be too hard. Will these two get together and find their happily ever after? It's not only a romance, but has some meat to it. There are family matters, problems of the heart, trust issues and life decisions to be made. While the perfect escape, the characters dealt with their lives in a realistic way which makes the book that much better. Readnour had me from the first chapter, and I can't wait to see what the Cessna U Wildcats have in store for us next.

Sarah Puckett and Chris Brinkley bring this gem to life. Sarah is a consummate professional and she finds the perfect voicing for her characters. For Kara, she found that balance of crazy emotions and coolness. It was my first Chris Brinkley listen, and I enjoyed his voice. He has a good sound for the age bracket, and gave Braxton just enough attitude not to go overboard. I enjoyed this team and their performance.

Allie Belle's A Little Truth tells a story of love and finding your way. It's my first listen by Belle, and while I don't normally listen to age play, her style is easy to listen to and the story is intriguing. It's always fun to venture out of my comfort zone every once in a while, and Keith and Rose's story caught my eye. These two have had some problems having a baby, and while stressed about getting pregnant have lost sight of their own relationship. To bring the light back to themselves, they visit Rawhide Ranch where BDSM and kinks are practiced, and here the two work on finding their way back to each other. It has some age play in it, so if this is uncomfortable, this book is not for you. I did love the realizations that Rose made, and her ability to adapt and grow.

Narrated by Jessica Howard, the story comes to life. With voices from childlike to grown up, the story flows easily and makes it an easy, entertaining listen.

Each book in this series just proves the talent of Crystal Kaswell. She can create characters that are flawed, easy to relate to, and make us fall in love with them! Dirty Desires is a little bit of an age difference taboo listen and it's completely delicious! At18, Eve has much more responsibility than she should have at her age. To cope, she keeps an online blog. When Ian reads her entries, he is entranced, and obsessed with what she is about to do. So what does he do? He seeks her out, offers her a better deal and the two are put together for 30 days. This is where the story gets good. Can you be with someone for 30 days and just walk away when it's over? I loved the flow of this book. It has real heart and I found myself relating to both Ian and Eve. Eve is ferocious, and I love that about her. She is bound and determined to make it, and Ian just may be her ticket. Ian is that broody man that carries his hurt with him. Protecting his heart is all he thinks he can do to stay safe. So what will happen when feelings develop? Kaswell is a master at writing, and every book is so captivating. I loved her way of grabbing us and investing our hearts in the outcome. This was a fantastic listen!

Eve is young and the choice of Vanessa Edwin to voice her is genius. Edwin has a voice that can play any age, but she nails Eve. Each emotion, from the cocky girl we first meet to the vulnerable blog writer, she gives it all to us. Add in the duet narration with Shane East as Ian, and the book is magic. He brings in air of class with Ian, with the broodiness. The two are incredible together and made the listen!

Linny Lawless writes such good books, I find myself getting lost in her worlds. Cobalt is book 2 of her Capitol Corruption series and it delivers. It's not long, but these characters take us into their world and let us escape. Gina is a high priced call girl, and Dane's sister. When she finds herself in some trouble, Dane reaches out to his friend in Washington DC. Nolan is powerful, running the MGM National Harbor Casino, and he will do anything for his friend. To protect this feisty woman, Nolan does what it takes to keep her safe. But will it be enough? Will she behave long enough to stay protected? This is a fun, fast paced adventure. Full of suspense, corruption danger and steam, it's complete entertainment! You don't want to miss any in this series!

Narrated by Rodney Falcon, each character is given their own personality and voice. He can pick up that gangster quality easily and gives Nolan that edgy sound. In turn, he keeps Gina with an attitude, but adds that bit of softness to her. Loved every minute of this one and look forward to more.
