This is not something I would normally choose but I was pushed for time and it was a 16 hr read with good reviews, so... The story could fit into romance, espionage and thriller categories whilst not wholly belonging to anyone.

However, it kept me totally engaged and loving the characters.

There are plenty of good twists, and at one stage I thought it was over then realised there was another 4 hours of listening to go!

I would recommend this book as a good, entertaining easy listen.

Laurie is pretty sure love at first sight doesn't exist. After all, life isn't a scene from the movies, is it? But then, through a misted-up bus window one snowy December day, she sees a man whom she knows instantly is the one. Their eyes meet, there's a moment of pure magic...and then her bus drives away. Laurie thinks she'll never see the boy from the bus again. But at their Christmas party a year later, her best friend, Sarah, introduces her to the new love of her life. Who is, of course, the boy from the bus.

It was an ok book to listen to whilst I was sewing. I never felt the need to know what was going to happen next. the 'story' just meandered along, then ended. I really didn't feel that I wanted to know what happened to the characters as you often do with a really good book.

I don't understand the rave reviews.
