Too many to count, but most involved the dog, dogs put things into perspective!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.. but was also one that allowed you to take a think break too

Any additional comments?

A good old fashioned romance, where looks are not important, but the love of a good dog makes magic happen!

If you could sum up What's Your Excuse for Not Getting Fit? in three words, what would they be?

Funny, honest, and realistic

What does Petrina Kingham bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

I was surprised to learn the author was in her 50's, she sounds a lot younger, once I realised that, it made it a better listen as I knew she had been through it and really understood the excuses used for not getting fit and the struggle of juggling work and responsibilities. After this I made sure I swam the next morning.

Any additional comments?

Looking forward to getter her next book.

Would you consider the audio edition of Beyond Flight or Fight to be better than the print version?

I think that hearing the book, you can pick up the emphasis points of training much easier. You hear how to praise a dog with high inflections in your tone and understand how it affects the dog.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Beyond Flight or Fight?

I was very interested to learn many tips, to see how a dog could easily be misunderstood and once placed with an understanding trainer/owner that fearful traits can be managed. I was also surprised to learn that noises from a TV could upset a rescue, obvious now, but before this book, I had not taken any notice of what family members were watching. Great book, I do not 100% agree with everything, but we all have our own views, but I have learnt a lot too. Highly recommend this title.

Have you listened to any of Richard Rieman’s other performances? How does this one compare?

This was my 1st and I intend to listen to it a few times over.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book was a huge eye opener. I work with dogs most days and have rescued lots over the years and this book helped me see where I had naturally made the correct choice in my training methods and where I could have got a quicker response had I tried another.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Something Beautiful?

Although a simple plan of action, to think happy, to eat well, to care for others, it is one many of us forget. This book is a gentle reminder that we will get more out of life, if we put more into it. Enjoyed the way this was put in this book.
I enjoyed the way chapters began with a playlist. Clever touch, one to remember.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, I had to take time out at intervals to digest all that I had listened too. Not a book to be rushed. Will probably listen again a few times to get the most out of it.

Uplifting story of a young girl that has so many issues to deal with, her face is lopsided, she believes her birth killed her mother and that her father disowned her. She believes she is unlovable and will never be able to go to school... until the appearance of the very magical unicorn.

Gloria, a heroine who rescues her friend the unicorn, who refuses to believe that she is only useful as a maid and against all odds goes on to learn to read, write and go to school.

This would be a lovely book to read out loud at school, as it deals with bullying, hope, imagination, adoption and overcoming hardships in life, in a gentle way.

Something Daisy didn't expect was for Molly Madison to walk back into her life, eight years after she moved away. They'd been best friends forever, or so she'd thought. But Molly is back in town and she's looking...really good, actually. And that reminds Daisy of that one time at a sleepover when they'd kissed during a game of Spin the Bottle. That one kiss has been on her mind since then, but it's irrelevant. Molly isn't into girls. But as Daisy and Molly spend more time together, feelings start to grow, and Daisy is wondering just how "straight" Molly really is...

What made the experience of listening to Second Kiss the most enjoyable?

The happy ending. This is a lovely simple tale of 2 young best friends, meeting up after 10 years apart. They clearly were always meant to be together, but had no way of knowing it. When they meet up again they fall head over heels. This is a lovely, fun, gentle story, highly recommend. Leaves you feeling optimistic for the pair of them.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Really enjoyed that the mother was so supportive of these two girls. I hope there is a sequel to this book. I enjoyed it so much I listened to it again.

Adele Blackthorne is a big girl, a curvy chick. She knows it, and she's been picked on all her life because of it. But she's gotten to the stage where she doesn't care. She may be Rubenesque, but she's healthy, too. Much healthier than the mean girls at the leisure center that point and stare and say spiteful things about her. Adele rises above it all, and simply enjoys her secretive glances at the center's hunky lifeguard, Oliver.

A very intriguing story about time travelling, they spend a few months before the outbreak of World War 2, they meet Eleanor Roosevelt, Einstein and many other important people.

Journey to centre of the earth.

What about Chaz Allen’s performance did you like?

Very pleasant, easy on ear.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, it showed how strong the 3 generations of women were ... The idea of meeting yourself as a baby was very intriguing. Looking forward to hearing another tale.

Any additional comments?

Trying hard to find a fault, only one, it would be easier to hear if the author did not answer every question asked by a character with things like "I do" " I might" etc., the listener can fill in those spaces. I loved this book, it was long and good value, although personally “I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.”

Would you consider the audio edition of Weeping Under This Same Moon to be better than the print version?

I loved this book, the eloquent, yet very accessible language makes this a beautifully written book, it is a future classic. The audio added to it for me, but I think both versions would be just as wonderful.
Although this book deals with the "Boat People" of 1979/80 in these harsh times, with war filled news items, refugees being found downed on beaches in Europe, it is more relevant than ever.
This book does not scare, but it does open eyes, and hearts, it shows how a teenager, reaching out warm arms to help another, gets so much more back in return. I cannot praise this book enough.

What did you like best about this story?

That it makes you want to care, I remember seeing the "Boat People" the misery, I was too young then to do much about it, but we see the same thing in 2017 and it is very upsetting. This books shows how much the refugees need help and how much they then go on to contribute back. A wonderful book, one you want EVERYONE to read. Be wonderful to see it on the schools curriculum.

What about Zoe Laiz and Caroline Huang McLaughlin ’s performance did you like?

Totally believed the story, the dialect, all words, the language, nothing was overdone. This book and the story were brought to life beautifully.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This made me feel so hopeful, it shows that people can and do care.
