I could not stop listening to this audio book. Crime, murder and and a touch of the supernatural, what more could you ask for........Oh yes, and a blinding twist at the end.

What a fantastic story, it grabs you from the very first page, and doesn't let go until the very last.
I felt so immersed in Cathy's life, and the detail in which it was told, I really felt I was her, and everything, and every emotion she was going through.
Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant.

When I first saw this book, I wasn't sure about purchasing, I thought another Zombie book, you've read one you've read them all...........How wrong was I.
First of all, they are not your common Zombie, if you know what I mean, they are so much worse if that's possible. There is an actual believable story, of two people trying to find each other, with the odds stacked against them every step of the way. You see mankind, and how differently it reacts to what this virus is doing to the good, the bad, and downright ugly.
It is so well written that you find yourself fighting, cringing, holding your breath, screaming inwardly and wanting to make yourself as small as possible,.........after you've covered yourself in whatever foul smelling stuff you can find, to stop these 'Variants' from sniffing you out.
I found this book truly terrifying. The narrator, Raphael Corkhill, was excellent at giving the characters a voice.
Mr Adrian J. Smith, congratulations at giving the old zombie story a new lease of life..........

What a Nightmare.

My God, where do I start? I really wouldn't want to be inside your head Mr Mountford, the intricate detail in which you describe all manner of grotesque evil beings and their actions are...........mind shattering. Hannibal Hills was a perfect narrator.
I am so disturbed by this book, I'm off to find another by you. Keep them coming, and I'll keep reading.

Five stars isn't enough!

What a fantastical scary story. I loved every gory, goosebump wrenching moment. I especially loved Mr Mountfords description of hell. I am certainly going to change my attitude to life, and become much more like the three wise monkeys.........

I loved this book, it had everything, undercover cops, gangs drugs, murderers and bent prison workers, what more could you ask for, in a riveting read.
Genevieve Swallow is a brilliant narrator, and really brought the characters to life. Well done.

Loved it!

This book has everything, laughter, murder, mystery and a fantastic twist. I can't wait to read the next chapter of Bev's life, and where her next case will take her.
Well done, Imogen Church for bringing the characters to life, with laughter and menace in equal measure.
I would love to work with, or have a friend like Bev.

This is my first book from this authour, it certainly won't be the last. I listened to it while doing my housework, and you know what, I was so engrossed in the story, I didn't even mind cleaning the oven. No offence Mr Waites, but this book was so descriptive, I wasn't in my home, I really was transported to the prison, the moors AND the area where Tom lived.
I am off to find another of your books, the attic needs sorting.

What a fantastic book. It had everything, witches, past and present interwoven, foul little imps, and magic. A Harry Potter it certainly isn't. I found myself holding my breath until I turned blue.
I need to read the next book in this series, so forgive me if I cut this review short.

What a brilliant book. I am so glad you get free books occasionally, because I probably wouldn't have come across this authour. I couldn't stop listening to it. I am going to get the next book in the series, and I don't mind paying for it, it will be worth every penny, even if it's only half as good as this one. Get this book, I promise you, you won't be disappointed.
