When Kinley Chandler abruptly lands in medieval Scotland, there isn’t much she’s leaving behind. With her body shattered and her military career over, Kinley has resigned herself to death. But in the past, all that changes. Lachlan McDonnel, the laird of a clan of immortal highlanders, can hardly believe his good fortune. Not only does the mysterious lass save his life, she awakens his heart in a way he’d thought no longer possible. But the druid spells that allow Lachlan’s clan to live forever have a dark side as well.

I loved this! Well written, the characters were brilliant. The story was not formulaic but engaging. And William MacLeod's is the best I've heard. His voice is something else!!! Highly recommend.

It began nearly 400 years ago. The Conall clan and all their people were murdered in a surprise attack, their beloved castle and all evidence of who destroyed them burned to the ground with their bodies. In the centuries following, archaeologists searched through the ruins looking for any evidence of what or who had caused the untimely demise of such a powerful Scottish clan. All efforts were fruitless until a spell put in place by an ancient Conall ancestor finally began to work its magic.

It is engaging it isn't of the standard of the Outlander books but the characters are good and it is amusing. Best of the faux Scottish time travel copies that are all systematically coming out of the wood work. Well narrated emotion wise. However, my advice would be, invest in someone who can actually do a Scottish accent let alone a highland accent. I had to get past the accent as best I could it made me burst out laughing at first but I got use to it.

A waste of time in my opinion. Most of the stories are utter rubbish to be brutally honest.

On the outside, Dina Demille is the epitome of normal. She runs a quaint Victorian Bed and Breakfast in a small Texas town, owns a Shih Tzu named Beast, and is a perfect neighbor, whose biggest problem should be what to serve her guests for breakfast.

Jackson "The Beast" Boudreaux is rich, gorgeous, and unbelievably rude to the staff at Chef Bianca Hardwick's New Orleans restaurant. Bianca would sooner douse herself in hot sauce than cook for Jackson again, but when he asks her to cater his fundraiser, Bianca can't refuse, knowing the cash will help pay her mother's medical bills. Then Jackson makes another outrageous request: Marry me. The unconventional offer includes an enormous sum - money Bianca desperately needs, even if it does come with a contract - and a stunning ring.

I loved the characters in this book. One of my favorites. I must say Sebastian York is excellent as ever. However, Diana Luke was a revelation and brought the author's words to life. I laughed out loud so many times, such an animated effort. Will look out for more written by this author.
