Wow, what a journey...... 14 books, globe trotting, wall to wall action and bonds as strong as steel.

Bob delivers his normal, 5 star narration with gusto.

I’ve grown to like and even love these characters..... do yourself a favour.... buy this audiobook, buy ALL the audiobooks, start at the first and relive all the ZA in its glorious action.

What a shame, I wanted to like this audiobook but I've been left very disappointed.

The book itself is just ok for me but, and I might offend fans here, the narration of Neil Gaiman is so very, very poor. I didn't enjoy it all.... what a shame .

Bought on day of release, finished a day later! The Arisen series just gets better and better for me, gripping, fun and a heck of a ride!!

RC Bray is a master of his craft! His narration is perfect.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The brilliance of Ben Aaronovitch combined with the slick delivery of Kobna Holdbrook-Smith hit the sweet spot with this next installment of the PC Peter Grant/Rivers of London series

What other book might you compare The Hanging Tree to, and why?

Others books in the Rivers of London series

What does Kobna Holdbrook-Smith bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Going into this audio book, Kobna was in my top 3 narrators.... Coming out of this audio book, Kobna is my NUMBER ONE narrator. His interperation and delivery of the characters is just sublime.

I love his delivery of Nightingale and Peter Grant.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It had me routing for Peter and Nightingale towards the climax of the book as you are hoping that someone gets their comeuppance.

Any additional comments?

I'm now in moaning as I'm now having to wait for the next book..... Ben, please hurry!! O_O

a great return!

For me Steven Pacey is the gold standard of narration and he is perfect in these books. this is enjoyable short stories that flesh out the First Law world.
