For the first time, Hillary Rodham Clinton reveals what she was thinking and feeling during one of the most controversial and unpredictable presidential elections in history. Now free from the constraints of running, Hillary takes you inside the intense personal experience of becoming the first woman nominated for president by a major party in an election marked by rage, sexism, exhilarating highs and infuriating lows, stranger-than-fiction twists, Russian interference, and an opponent who broke all the rules. This is her most personal memoir yet.

Hillary Clinton gives her side of the story, obviously, if you want another side, read someone else's. Im a big Fan already, and was so shocked when the election was lost, this book, brilliantly narrated by Hillary herself, is a comprehensive look at the campaign from her side of the fence. She is very honest about her mistakes and her feelings and not once does she ask us to 'feel sorry' for her.
I highly recommend this book. As a non- US national it has left me ith further questions about the role Comey played in the election and as a global citizen it has given me huge worries about the interference and hacking by Russia not only to the US but also other nations, like the UK.

Jenny Schultz wakes trapped in a pitch-black basement with no recollection of how she got there. With no outside stimuli, Jenny naturally turns inward and revisits her guilt-ridden past, desperate to figure out which wronged person would be angry enough - evil enough - to do this to her. She must survive her own demons, and then time itself, when she finds remnants of previous captives - a plate, a tooth, a bone. Scratched hashmarks in the stone walls around her leave her to wonder what happens next.

It's a scary prospect, waking up in some kind of tomb and it would be easy to knock out a predictable storyline. But the author had me gripped straight away! The trips back into the victims past, the mental journeys back in time to all the things that haunt her are excellently told.
T.J Richards as narrator, does a great job of drawing us through this horrid event without over or under dramatising the delivery. The story moves at a great pace and I found myself saying "just one more chapter before I go to bed!"
The story is strong and believable and it doesn't follow the kind of script where you know what's coming.
The narrator has a smooth and warm voice and is a joy to listen to. I thought her performance was perfect for this book.
I wish I could tell you how it ends.... but I won't! You'll have to listen for yourself!

Enjoy!

I loved this story when I read it last year and I was so excited to know it was coming out in audiobook format too! The characters are so magnetic and although Silhara isn't easy to grow fond of at first, you soon find yourself falling for him. Jay Britton did an amazing job bringing this particular character to life and his very specific voice was perfect. The growing love between the characters is far from predictable and certainly not cheesy. The narrator did a good job in bringing the female character's voice off the page and I was swept away with the story telling from the word go!
A stunning example of Grace Draven's writing and superb narration by Jay Britton.
I would definitely recommend this and am looking forward to further collaborations between Grace and Jay.

Gary Vaynerchuk—the inspiring and unconventional entrepreneur who introduced us to the concept of crush it—knows how to get things done, have fun, and be massively successful. A marketing and business genius, Gary had the foresight to go beyond traditional methods and use social media tools such as Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube to reach an untapped audience that continues to grow.

Having watched the Ask Gary Vee show from the beginning I wondered what the point of buying the book was. Surely I've heard all the answers already?! I opted for the audiobook so that I could listen to it on the move and I put it at 1.25 speed. (So it sounded a bit more like the show)
The first thing is that Gary gives updated answers to the questions so I was hearing new perspectives and the content is current. Listening to Gary is the best was to consume him, his energy and sense of humour is so vital to what he is saying.
I have bookmarked several key sections where I literally need to sit down and apply the advice to my own business. Some questions are a bit annoying, mainly because I've heard them asked so many times, but the responses never are and Gary always brings value with the answers. I love the guest readers.
To sum up: a fantastic audiobook with different answers to the hard copy book.
Very enjoyable and informative to listen to.
I highly recommend this for your earbuds and it's a great way to get the full Gary Vee experience.
I guarantee that if you are new to Gary Vaynerchuk this will be the start of something great for you and your business.
You don't need to be an entrepreneur to get value from Gary.

Would you recommend The Line of His People to your friends? Why or why not?

I would recommend this book to others as it brought to life a very intriguing and harsh past. A time that is so difficult to imagine now and yet the common thread of humanity which is woven through time right up to modern times. Characters we can relate to, human stories we can relate to.

What does Mark Topping bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Mark's voice is rich and warm. His story telling was key to my enjoying this audiobook. He brought the characters to life well and gave each one distinctive differences, without taking away from the flow of the narrative. I would definitely listen to more of his audio work.

Any additional comments?

A good story beautifully narrated and definitely worth a listen.

Getting a life isn't always easy. And hanging on to it is even harder.... Jodi Taylor brings all her comic writing skills to this heartwarming tale of self-discovery. Known as The Nothing Girl because of her severe stutter and chronically low self-confidence, Jenny Dove is only just prevented from ending it all by the sudden appearance of Thomas, a mystical golden horse only she can see. Under his guidance Jenny unexpectedly acquires a husband - the charming and chaotic Russell Checkland.

I absolute loved every moment of this audiobook. I cared deeply about all the characters, whose storylines were so layered. I fell in love with Thomas and laughed, cried and tutted all the way through. Lucy narrated this so perfectly and I feel slightly bereft now it's finished. Thank you!
