In Skyfaring, airline pilot and flight romantic Mark Vanhoenacker shares his irrepressible love of flying on a journey from day to night, from new ways of mapmaking and the poetry of physics to the names of winds and the nature of clouds. Here, anew, is the simple wonder and transcendent joy of motion and the remarkable new perspectives that height and distance bestow on everything we love.

I absolutely love this book. I like to put it on when I'm flying, I sit back with a drink and stare out of the window. The stories are straight from the flight deck and I find it both reassuring and fascinating to listen to. If Mark Vanhoenacker hadn't become an airline pilot then he could have been a poet or author because he has a real gift for bringing words to life. It took me a while to get used to the narration but after half an hour or so I grew to love John Moraitis voice.

All in all a wonderful audiobook with lots of wonderful stories from the flight deck.

Would you consider the audio edition of Child-biting, Chorizo and Chancing Your Arm to be better than the print version?

I thought the audio version was brilliant, it was well paced and well read.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Child-biting, Chorizo and Chancing Your Arm?

As a lover of Spain I just thought the little bits of knowledge about Spain were littered beautifully throughout the story.

What does Chas Rowe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

I think he brings it to life.

I really enjoyed this book. One of the best I've read about Disney. Great to hear the stories from another point of view
