I loved this almost as much as the first book, I liked it more than the second cause jill wasnt in this. I wish the narrator for the first book wouldve narrated it cause her voice for kade is so good but the author is good as well! I liked how this had a (almost) conclusive ending to the story of jack and jill.

I loved the 2 first books in the series, but this wasnt for me. I like the eerie atmosphere more than the whimsical one (which proves I'd be in a logical world lol) and I didnt like the characters at all (expect my wonderful wonderful boys). the narrator did a good job - she really captured the very nonsense, high energy, weird personality in the girls. at first I thought I didnt like her, but it was because I didnt like the book as much. if the two first narrators wouldve narrated this book I'm sure it wouldnt suit. still reccomend tho! it was fun.

This book was better than the first book in terms of storytelling. The atmosphere is also just amazing, I cant believe someone can capture something like that so well you feel like you're in the story. The narrator, the author herself, did a really good job. I just hated her voice for the doctor (the master was okay). The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because I dont care for jill lol.

I've never read a book and had so much empathy. I've never felt such longing and desperation for a place I've never visited, I felt exactly like the characters did. everything in me just hurt. I also couldn't put it down, I just wanted to keep listening. The narrator did an amazing job, she had just the right kind voice and tone for this kind of book. amazing, cant reccomend enough.

one of the reason I'm listening to all of ruth wares book is her writing. shes an AMAZING writer. also the narrator of her audiobooks does an amazing job (although I know some people disagree with me). Her novels are always very slow at the middle, this one included, but not as much as the other ones. This was a bit like "the death of mrs. westaway" that I also enjoyed. I dont read a lot of thriller, so I cant say what this did right and what it didnt, the thriller aspect was just very well written.

I definitely liked the concept and the message of the book - I understand why so many people like this (and I'm glad I got to read the 21 chapter) However, the reason I didn't enjoy it was just the writing, I couldnt STAND it. It's not the books fault, it's just extremely different from what I'm used to and what I like. Also the way he describes feelings and things are very surface level, which made it hard for me to connect with the character and the story.

I just love this book. It's a new favourite. All the characters and their stories are interesting, and the fact that they all have different narrators makes it so much better. Every chapter makes you on edge. You think it's a romance at first but it turns out almost like a thriller. Couldn't reccomend this enough.

I didnt enjoy this as much as I'd hoped. I really struggled to finished it, not like the thunderhead. it felt like 5 books in one and I couldn't really follow, all the different characters really didnt help. The only satisfying thing was the ending.

Even if I didnt enjoy it, I wouldn't tell anyone to not continue after the second book. Give it a shot and you might enjoy it more than me. I don't regret finishing the trilogy mostly because the ending was as good as it was.

you could put a gun to my head and I still wouldnt be able to tell you what this book is about. this really feels like a dream; there's weird parts that you vaguely remember and some disturbing things you remember vividly and you end up waking up confused. What's the disturbing thing I remember you ask? The main character dreamt about giving a blowjob to a fox with a gigantic dick and his cum was silver and "tasted so good". This was really bad, I might just not understand these types of books.

If you like REALLY weird shit, magical realism and weird dreams you'll enjoy this. The audiobook is really good and makes you feel uncomfortable in a good way. But all in all, the one thought that summarises my feelings is "nope"

this was a really good one. You could see it as a filler for the story but I thought it was more building up to the last book. It took up many important subjects like how mentally ill people were treated back in the day. Also I've waited for Libba Bray to do something BIG, cause I thought she was playing a bit safe (to the point where it was unrealistic) but damn did she deliver this time. I was that "F*CK GO BACK" button meme lol
