A most interesting novel, so visual, emotive, and charming it lead me on a journey of complete admiration for its carefully crafted heroine. I loved its gentle pace. And it so beautifully read, that the text echoes on long after you have finished listening.

This wonderfully narrated novel stretches the hearts emotions almost unbearably, and still the author makes you laugh. Superbly crafted, it has a plethora of strong characters. The Heart's Invisible Furies is an absolutely brilliant book. And, it even left me with an unexpected liking for the name Cyril!

Excellent characterisation.

It is so telling (in a good way) that the name of the main character has already slipped from my memory. What I actually enjoyed about this novel was not so much the storyline but the way it was crafted. In short: I like the way the author writes. Her characters are authentic. The narration was excellent, especially the portrayal of Marlene. I thoroughly recommend this audio book.

Excellent novel. Enjoyable listening. Superbly individual characters - given their number. Made me think about humanity.
