Together with rich and colourfully illustrated pdf book it is good start for everybody who wants to learn French basics. I believe it can enrich also a class of any French tutor. This full-cast drama, part of BBC Audiobooks' Classic Radio Sci-Fi series, is based on the classic post-war 'science fantasy' novel which made John Wyndham famous, and whose appeal endures to this day. Giles Cooper's six-part adaptation stars Gary Watson, Barbara Shelley and Peter Sallis, with appearances from Doctor Who names Peter Pratt, Christopher Bidmead and David Brierley. Divided by blindness and societal breakdown, humanity is at the mercy of the carniverous Triffids....

Have to say it is worthy to listen this adaptation of classical story. Specially me as non native English speaker I enjoy this radio version because of the characters which are narrated by different artists. All is done in a good pace which goes along with original book. Only one drawback I have found is that crazy sound closing and opening each chapter. This is probably all right when you are not listening using a headset. With headset on and little bit higher volume it makes you feel like the man on the cover of this audiobook feels like. Otherwise - great piece of audio book. Thank you for publishing this stuff.
