Israel launches a pre-emptive war to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon. Simultaneously, Israel's Mossad sleeper agents succeed in igniting an Iranian internal revolt that is on the verge of succeeding in overthrowing the entire radical Iranian Jihadist regime. In an effort to avert defeat, with their backs to the wall, Iran's supreme leader decides to launch a last ditch "Hail Mary" attack directed at Israel's key supporter, the US. This is the story of that attack and those fighting against it.

The narration style in this audiobook is of a more formal nature, and given the military style of the book, it works well. The narration is clear and engaging and each of the characters has been well thought out.
I have to disagree with other reviews on about this as I feel in this style of book, being slightly detached from the horrors of war are almost necessary.

The story looks at the two factions in the war, and I found myself routing for each side at times. Something that is forgotten in many military novels - there are always two sides, each with their respective families and loved ones. The story was was fast paced and on occasions I found it difficult to remember which side i was listening to and had to go over the audio again, in particular near the end where the chapters were very short (often less than 1 minute long). This is my only complaint, as I felt some chapters could be merged to achieved the same outcome and make the listening easier.

In conclusion, a good military novel, with a spattering of sex scenes that was an enjoyable listen.
