Loved this book, found it hard to put down.
There is so much wonderful writing in this book.
Just reminded of what a fantastic and skilful writer King is.
The performance is also outstanding bringing all the characters into sharp focus.
Did not want it to end.

Would you consider the audio edition of A Fever of the Blood to be better than the print version?

Yes, for me the narration was superb.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Fever of the Blood?

There were many but I liked the part which involved Nettle, it was gentle.

What does Andy Secombe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

He was the voice of this book.
I laughed out loud in parts and was chilled in others, but always entertained.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Witches and Tartan Trousers

Any additional comments?

This is a ripping yarn, with great action and superb narration.
I loved his first book and this one did not disappoint. `i cannot wait for the next one.

Would you consider the audio edition of Alex to be better than the print version?

I have to say probably as I have not read any. However the audio edition is excellent. The narration fits the tone and feel of the book.Having listened to the book I have no desire to read the book though.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Alex?

There are quite a few, you'll just have to listen to it.There are some gory moments that made me wince. Plus some characters that were so sharply dissected with words that it made me wince too.

What does David Rintoul bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

He has a voice that is very easy on the ear but brings the story to life that keeps you listening. He is excellent and a natural storyteller.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Modern French Noir.

Any additional comments?

I have now bought the other two books in the series and they are shaping up to be just as good.Addictive stuff.

Would you try another book written by Blake Crouch or narrated by Phil Gigante?

I have and they have been better.

What could Blake Crouch have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

This was well written but nothing new.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The female voices were a bit annoying.

Was Run worth the listening time?

I never got to finish it so in my case no.

Any additional comments?

A familiar storyline with nothing to make it stand out.

I just loved this novel.
The characters were believable, at times funny, whilst chilling too.
The narration was spot on and really helped to bring a very intriguing story to life.
I hope we shall have many more of these.

This is the second book I have read by this author.
I am becoming very fond of the characters and their inventive adventures.
It is full of dark humour and a creative plot.
I love the narration which for me is the icing on the cake as Emma Gregory has got it spot on.
Again cannot wait for more please!

I had a feeling this was going to be an outstanding book and I was not disappointed.
The characters and the moments between them is just so well written.
You find yourself being drawn into the lives of some very unsavoury characters, but you also have an understanding of why they are who they are.
Entertaining and thought provoking.
Narration is great too.

I tried, the I can make you thin hypnosis before this. I loved the theory behind the techniques but it did not really work for me.
This was very different. I found from the first listen, my appetite dropped right off. I no longer think about food, diets or weighing myself all the time. However I did lose two pounds in the first week. Since then I am enjoying my food, eating slowly and the *need* to snack in between meals has gone. I also seem to crave lots of healthier alternatives, such as fruit and raw veggies.
I eat what I want, when I want. I just don't each as much and my portions are smaller.
I no longer weigh myself but my clothes are looser and I feel great.
I listen to the trance once a week but would recommend following the guidelines set down when you first start the program.

Hope this helps.

No idea what to expect when I chose this book, but was not disappointed.
There are so many historic re-writes and characters brought into a strange and often disturbing world.
I have since bought the next 2 in the series.
They kind of remind of the best of the Hammer Horror films, with a very modern, slock horror twist on them. In places perverse an uncomfortable and in others pure horrific fiction.
The narration is fantastic.
