I’ve waited impatiently for each book in this series and loved every one. They have made me laugh and cry and almost feel the heart wrenching difficulties the war must have brought. The only thing that disappoints is the narrator. The others have been fabulous but this narrator didn’t have any different voices for characters and her attempts at any kind of accent were sadly lacking. Having been used to Jim and Rons broad Irish accent in the others this did somewhat spoil this book. I wish I’d read it myself and not listened to the audiobook. Please use a different narrator next time.

I’ve read all of these or listened to them and I find myself laughing out loud frequently. As long as you can take the idea of the devil and vampires etc in a light hearted way then these are the books for you. Also as long as you can tolerate the swearing. I am particularly fond of the nickname for the devil of “ uncle F***er” by his two neices simply put a good funny read.

excellent finish to the series

I have really enjoyed the whole Grave series and found that this one tied up all the loose ends nicely. But it also gave you plenty of twists and turns that you really did not see coming. you do need to read them in order to fully enjoy them. I would definitely recommend them to any Charlaine Harris fans

This book is a little different from her others as you know who the villain is from the beginning. But there are still so many twists and turns you don't see coming. I Loved finally knowing Gwyn and Thornes story.
Now all I have to do is wait impatiently for the next book.

I have yet to be disappointed by anything by Elaine Everest and think Annie Aldington is certainly one of my favourite narrators.
You really do find yourself immersed in the lives of the girls and can imagine being at Butlins.
I can't wait for Elaine's next book.

I loved this book from start to finish. The honesty and denial of Rachel is great. Serious at times with full on laugh out loud moments at others. I will definitely listen to more of these. In fact I had downloaded the next book ready before I was even halfway through this one .

The grace and forgiveness in this book knows no bounds.
I was truly moved by the people in this book, the Amish people who could have turned their back after such a tragedy are simply beautiful.
Terri tells this story of a time that must really have been amount her darkest days with such grace and honesty.
I only hope people learn from this book and can find such faith.

This book is another important read, to understand the true difficulties faced during WW2. These women show a remarkable strength of character and unfailing will to survive very difficult situations with courage and grace. I'm not ashamed to say this book made me cry for these women but also to laugh with them too. A fantastic book

This is the second book about Sarah Hill I have read and I only hope she writes more. They are a fantastic peek into nursing and health visiting in the 60s and 70s. A must for any nurse who loves a good nursing memoir.

This is the first cozy mystery I've listened to by this author and it did not disappoint. It made me giggle in the car on the way to work and on the way home.
It's a light easy listen and good fun will definitely get more of these
