On the night of April 7, 2006, eight members of the motorcycle gang the Bandidos were killed execution style and left in a farmer's field near London, Ontario. The brutal slaying, the largest mass killing in Canada's history, was reported as the work of a rival motorcycle gang. The Shedden Massacre instantly made international headlines, as did the sensational murder trial that followed. In Bloody Justice, listeners are taken to the very night of the crime itself, to the key players and perpetrators.

Good insight into the ramshackle world of the Canadian chapter of the Bandidos.

Also interesting to hear about the Canadian legal system and its approach to these killings.

Only tiny beef was with the 'English' place names - some were Scottish. Either go all out British (for now ;-) ) or give each it's place.

Very well constructed and researched over all.

Thanks.

That's not criticising the narrator in any way. It's a hard gig to follow reading a story where people already have indelibly etched into their minds the sounds of the main character voices.

The story itself is very good and in keeping with the series.

Can only imagine the looks on the members of the Czech TV studio people as I sat parked in my truck, curtains drawn, screaming Vagina! At the top of my lungs.

I met a guy who had been party to the Skye 'Van' escapade a few years ago and thought he was talking out his arse. Clearly not!

Great book, very honest, real and matter of fact look at the ambitions of a wee radge to a fully accomplished comedian.

Well recommended.

Marie doesn't need a complication like Horse. The massive, tattooed, badass biker who shows up at her brother's house one afternoon doesn't agree. He wants Marie on his bike and in his bed. Now. But Marie just left her abusive jerk of an ex-husband and she's not looking for a new man. Especially one like Horse - she doesn't know his real name or where he lives, she's ninety percent certain he's a criminal and that the "business" he talks with her brother isn't website design.

Thought it was another fly on the wall style book I had bought but certainly not the case! Lol

Not usually my cup of tea but pretty well written, great mental imagery and a slight brushing past of the ins and outs, no pun intended, of the MC lifestyle.

I'm now in love with Stella's voice. Jeepers...

"We are the people our parents warned us about" is the motto of the Bandidos, one of the world's most feared outlaw motorcycle gangs. For ten years, Steve Utah was a Bandidos insider. He arranged the security of their clubhouses. He 'cooked' ecstasy and ice for them. He was at meetings where interstate and overseas drug and weapons smuggling was planned. He saw stolen military weapons being sold. He witnessed vicious beatings, helped dump corpses. It all became too much and, in an attempt to regain control of his life, Utah resorted to the unthinkable....

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Yes I would.

What did you like best about this story?

It picked up pace after the Middle of the book. End of the story very good. Initial 9-10 chapters rambled on somewhat.

What three words best describe Michael Carman’s voice?

Very make Aussie

Do you think Dead Man Running needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No, guy would end up dead probably!

Any additional comments?

Didn't like some of the terminology (bikies, bashing etc) appreciate its a National thing but detracts from the core image of the story for me. Sounds quite child like.
