- By: Sylvain Neuvel
- Narrated by: Andy Secombe, Adna Sablyich, Laurel Lefkow, and others
- Length: 9 hrs and 8 mins
An unknown vessel, not of this world, materialises in London. A colossal figure towering over the city, it makes no move. Is this a peaceful first contact or the prelude to an invasion? Every child has nightmares. But the only thing scarier than little Eva Reyes' dreams - apocalyptic visions of death and destruction - is the habit they have of coming true. Scientist Dr Rose Franklin has no memory of the last few years. The strangers she works with say she died, and was brought back to life. The question is not just how...but why?

Solid book two with some oddities
Great follow up. The first person monologues used for action sequences are kind of weird. They slow the pace and feel unnatural, especially without any sound effects. Otherwise though the story is great. Would like to find out where it goes next.
- The Gam3, Book 1
- By: Cosimo Yap
- Narrated by: Nick Podehl
- Length: 12 hrs and 26 mins
The Earth is changing. The alien invasion brought social upheaval, advanced technology, and an armada of peacekeeping robots. But Alan, a college student pursuing a now-useless degree, cares little about all of this. He has only one thing on his mind: the Game. A fully immersive virtual reality, the Game appears to be a major part of the invading civilization. Alan can't wait to play, recklessly diving into the digital universe. Soon though, Alan realizes the Game is anything but simple, and the stakes are higher than he ever imagined.

Straight onto the next thank you!
Extremely accessible (not really a gamer), well paced, expanding the richly fabricated world minute by minute. I've seen comparisons to Ready Player One, I enjoyed this a lot more and it is quite different. I'm in for the series, thank you.
