I laughed, cried and giggled as Sue read her brilliant book. Just read or listen to it, it's worth it.

What is this woman doing? she is reading the whole thing in a sing song voice, extending the last syllable of every sentence or phrase. I couldn't stand more than 5 minutes and gave up. What a waste of good writing and credits!!!

Story spoilt by incorrect details.

There are no blue jays in England and water comes out of a tap not a faucet.
These errors highlighted that the author is American and spoiled the otherwise good story.

This is the fourth of these books I've listened to. Two different narrators. Both mangled the English language. Even allowing that they are not English or British the basic grasp of how to pronounce Malvern or Hereford or even Savoy is irritating. in the end it became a game to spot the next bad pronunciation.

Having said that the stories are light and fun and I will grit my teeth and listen to more.

A lovely book but dont listen on a crowded train

I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was fairly confident I would be entertained. the only problem was being caught shaking with laughter on the packed 17:02 Hastings train from Canon St. This happened again and again but fortunately not on the train. It is a book I want friends and family to share and that, for me, is rare. everyone will get something from this book. even cat owning, dog loving people like me.

A great story with intricacies and fun

i was listening to this story whilst doing my embroidery. My husband came in to the room and started laughing in the right places. We ended up listening for the evening, the tv was quite and black in the corner.
