kind of a fresher perspective for self help it poses a new means of change, this unfortunately is not rocket science nor new ( all self help has been already written) Also a bit too much use of case histories and not enough pauses for thinking or contemplation. I'd thought it may hold my attention to the end but sadly I will return this one undone.

I didn't like the narrator's voice / accent so sadly this is one i had to return. I can't comment much on the story but I think it appeared 'bitty' , I like flowing narrative and story line not too challenging😏

For me one of the pleasures of an audio book is the relaxation it brings. The Keeper is a great gem for this. A clever story line with a couple of parallel narratives unravelling to meet the third set of current day characters. One narrator who does a splendid job of all character portraits.
The subject of the 'lost things' is quirky and a good way to keep you connected to the narrative as it unfolds.Characters are well played and gently portrayed, enough interest in the development of each one; but really it is the study of human nature, love , grief and resolution that is central in each vignette.
I would listen to this again and take it to read on a journey for it has plenty to interest and I'm sure will excel in its actual writing. A good British film waits here too.

I only heard first few chapters. Just didn't like the means of narration. One of staccato and jumpy. Will try as a book to read.

as an audio book:A book about mental health, feeling crap and doing all the stuff nobody fesses up to.Bella the author has a reassuring tone that would work well to reassure many..Indeed I had to replay several times to catch up the stuff I missed while day dreaming or sleeping. The fact that parts repeat and reiterate the awfulness of anxiety and stress only serves to identify the listener.
I'd think this woman has a lot to be proud of in publishing; not for everyone I'm sure but a beacon for many, runners, joggers or not.

The thing is when an audio book is recorded it needs a little something to lift it. Unfortunately this sounded like a reading of a science homework project. Fot r the information on theory and biology it gives clear information on how a detox works. But it is jumpy and the narrative doesn't run in a way that I wanted to listen through it. I me kept skipping parts searching for engagement. I bought the book too. Maybe it reads better. I shall return the audio. Overall, short, jumpy and left me irritated.

Its hard to review a hypnosis audio ...but I chose this one as it has an English accent and I get SO fed up of twangy Americans at bed time on audible. Its brief, no watery sounds and I was asleep very quickly so didn't hear most consciously to reflect on the words at the time. But i can say they were very repetitive. RELAX being the main one! In the morning I listened again and just managed to stay more alert. So it definitely relaxes me at least. The elements of weight loss are TINY, but this doesn't mean it won't help. I'm using it as an aid to a fat loss diet more mindful eating etc.

A slow tale of family tragedy and late dementia of the central character whose long term memories are beautifully scripted throughout. The narration is well suited to the characters and credible, not getting in the way . I've taken my time listening to this one and it fits the pace of the story to do so.
I'd certainly recommend to anyone interested in dementia snow she's to gain !pre insight's to all affected. A touching story without sentiment in particular the relationships between key characters. Thanks nice audio!

Further to purchase. I'm going to return this. As I first said the soundtrack is odd!
Its not just crescendo of whitish noises but there are actual pauses in the editing that are really annoying and make me constantly on edge. Its sound that whilst annoying then just stops before relaunching. A shame as I was going to be a fan after purchasing another audio by the same two. Can't recommend this one.
