Expected to enjoy this book as am aware of the legendary status of Cook, but did not expect the book to be so interesting, open and insightful. One of the better sports autobiographies I have read and would recommend this to any cricket fan

Really disappointed by this - was like listening to Storytime on CBeebies. Have heard Jimmy in interviews and he is so much more eloquent than this and it doesn’t do him justice. I also thought the verbatim extracts from other players autobiographies was unnecessary and lazy journalism.

Brilliantly told story about a fascinating time that could be straight out of a fictional novel. Well written and narrated - Head narration is spot on and encapsulates the story.

Another cracker of a story from Ben MacIntyre brilliantly told - he just gets better and better. Somehow he gets a first hand account better than most. Next please!

Very informative and factual book almost completely ruined by the awful attempt at the accents. I enjoy the use of accents as they add to the theatre of the story but his attempts at the American and German in particular we’re cringeworthy.
