A really useful read a matter what colour of your skin. The reader needs to engage with the thought processes of the author and really reflect on their own outlook on life: the biases that you have have unthinkingly accepted in your thought processes. Something that everybody should do about all aspects of Life perhaps.

Nearly gave up on this. An interesting start became a ramble into the perils of accidentally becoming an author & being beguiled into thinking that innate talent had been uncovered. It also put me off ever wanting to write & then promote a book of my own!

this novel gives a fascinating ending to the story started in The Handmaid's Tale. It is a sobering picture of the way society could so easily develop if we do not look after our planet and each other.

Short. Pointless. Waste of listening time. Mildly amusing in places.
I would like to find an audible book with serious tips for coaching children.

I would love every human being on Earth to hear this story. Michelle Obama comes across as a warm human being with a very strong moral compass. Her work ethic and love for her fellow human beings, and her determination to make a positive difference in the world, truly are inspiring. It is, of course, fascinating to hear something of the details of life in the White House and the security measures surrounding the first family but at its heart this is a human story. One of a strong woman; an intelligent woman; a loving, supportive wife and mother - but one who forged a powerful new role for herself in the White House. Michelle Obama is undoubtedly a force for good in this world. I feel privileged to have spent some time with her through the medium of this audible book.

This is a gripping story which smacks of realism. However, some of the American voices are very grating to an English ear.

A personal love story from the deepest depths of human depravity and cruelty. If only we could be sure that Man's inhumanity to Man was a thing of the past.

Although I am really interested in the topics, and respect Robert Preston enormously, I have found his grating voice impossible to listen to. Within half an hour I had a vice-like headache. Sorry, Robert!
