The narrator reads in a fake posh breathy voice which rather spoilt what was a decent story.

A bit wooden performance wise and some of the women's voices are breathy and make the characters sound pathetic - which they are not.
I preferred this story when I read the book.
Blaggard blaggard blaggard - the term used to describe the villain! Was overused in my opinion. Next time I listen - I'll play a game to count the tally of times said!!!

Richard was delivered as a baby to St Ives house so was brought up in England. He wouldn't have a Scottish accent! Duh!

Also - goes on a bit when basically they love each other but don't tell each other.
