I had to return this book after trying to listen I never got to the end of the first chapter. I really couldn’t listen to more of the narration. I may go and buy the kindle version. I have gone down the middle with the story because it may be very good and audible wouldn’t allow me to ignore the star count

I enjoyed this book till I got to the ending. What ending?.I had to look to see if i had missed something, but no it could have done with another few pages
The narration was good, as was the story but if you are squeamish about animal cruelty. You may need to skip forward in some places.

Would you consider the audio edition of Mermaids Singing to be better than the print version?

have not read the print version, though I'm sure I would be able to imagine the characters better

Who might you have cast as narrator instead of Saul Reichlin?

Paul Thornley

Any additional comments?

Like a few others the narrator really wasn't for this book.. I had difficulty telling one person from another..sounded tired sometimes
