Alex Parkinson is in love with his writing tutor, Siobhan. He has never loved anyone like this, but how can he convince Siobhan that they are meant to be together? So Alex stalks her on Facebook and finds out where she lives, buys her presents using her own credit card and sends her messages telling her exactly what he wants to do to her. He breaks into her house, reads her diary and secretly listens to her while she takes a bath. Isn't that what all lovers do?

Would you listen to Killing Cupid again? Why?

Yes, definitely. This was a great story with fascinating characters whose behavior was at times baffling, often naughty, with a surprising hint of hilarity. Siobhan is looking for Mr. Right but she knows Mr. Wrong when she sees him...doesn't she? Alex is in love with his dream woman and just won't give up, until he finds a real-life girlfriend and his life is suddenly so...normal? Insight into the human condition of love and romance and the dynamics of the heart was fascinating.

What about Bea Holland and Oliver J. Hembrough ’s performance did you like?

Great narration, perfectly played.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I would listened to it straight through, with breaks for lunch :-)

Any additional comments?

Really enjoyable book with laught out loud moments and plenty of 'what was he/she thinking?' I loved it and highly recommend.

They say to keep your friends close and your enemies closer...wrong. Louisa's new best friend has it all - the house, the status, the money. But she's also hiding a dark secret. And as Louisa is drawn deeper into her friend's life, events take a chilling turn.

What made the experience of listening to The Best Friend the most enjoyable?

Great story, with a most conniving villain dressed up as one of the sweet and generous mothers at Louisa's young son's posh new private school, who is eager to bring Louisa into the fold. Louisa needs a friend and her husband needs some connections, plus their eight year old sons are best buddies- what more could she want?

What did you like best about this story?

The characters were the most entertaining part of the story, each one drawn with just the right amount of 'a little too much' to make it fun while keeping the twists and turns edgy.

What does Saskia Maarleveld bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Ms. Maarleveld is an excellent narrator with enough range to handle several different accents plus males and children, smoothly and pleasantly. Great job.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The end was unexpected and rewarding.

Any additional comments?

A fun book that kept me listening straight through. I recommend it.
