Time travel meets history in this new drama adaptation by Marty Ross. When Max, a recent ancient history graduate, is offered a mysterious job at St Mary's Historical Research Institute, she quickly comes to realise this isn't any old stuffy research library. At St Mary's the historians don't just study the past - they revisit it. What begins as an academic exploration of events, such as the Peterloo Massacre, takes a dark and dangerous turn, and the historians of St Mary's soon learn that it's not just history they're fighting....

I genuinely don't know what some people are complaining about in some of the dodgey reviews on here. This is something else. The acting is amazing - the script is funny and a little crude sometimes. There are a LOT of sound effects but it's what I would expect from an 'audio movie' and the story needs them, can't very well go visit dinosaurs or peterloo without sound effects. I m just at the end and I am going to go right back to the start and listen again. Cheers audible - this is special.

Kendra is a bundle of nerves when she walks into the office of Sebastian Montoya. To say his reputation precedes him is a gross understatement. Immediately she sees that the larger-than-life architect has an even bigger ego. The mystery that surrounds him is hypnotizing. There is just something about him that draws her in. He oozes sexuality, and his lilting Spanish accent makes her insides flutter. But as she learns, architecture isn't his only talent.

What did you like most about FREE FIRST CHAPTER: Rush?

I might have enjoyed this but the narrators voice has a very sharp "S". It may be my headphones but unfortunately I had to turn it right down and not sure I'd listen to the full book.

Would you listen to Les Liaisons Dangereuses again? Why?

Yes. Loved everything about it - especially Dominic West's fabulous voice and the stunning music. It's just a shame I never got to see the stage production.

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favourite?

Dominic West as Valmont. Mmmmmmm

Any additional comments?

Immaculate production. I can't believe its free. Listen
