Scribbled in secret after endless days, sleepless nights and missed weekends, Adam Kay's This is Going to Hurt provides a no-holds-barred account of his time on the NHS front line. Hilarious, horrifying and heartbreaking, this diary is everything you wanted to know - and more than a few things you didn't - about life on and off the hospital ward.

People think when you want to change your life, you need to think big. But world-renowned habits expert James Clear has discovered another way. He knows that real change comes from the compound effect of hundreds of small decisions - doing two push-ups a day, waking up five minutes early or holding a single short phone call. He calls them atomic habits.

Helpful for reflection.

Some very helpful advice and tasks but a lot is very dated - technology, communications, language, role & gender assumptions (particularly in the penultimate chapter... wonder who else noticed...).

I've my own business so sales is part of my job. Worth the time, although it has taken me a while to work through.

I've enjoyed hearing some of James O'Brien on the various viral snippets but hadn't heard much. I really wish those who needed to hear/read this book would, actually I think we should all hear/read it. He articulates so many of my thoughts, irritations and concerns. R4 Today presenters definitely could do with this!
