The series started off slowly and after a few chapters just accelerated and did not stop with Starsite. Brandon Sanderson is a master storyteller that engages you from the start with a good mix of adventure and intrigue with the merest splashes of humour thrown in like a garnish that completes a dish. However, the meal is not finished.

A must for Marvel fans. This story has all the key components of a Marvel adventure. Hopefully the team behind this have the will to extend Stan’s legacy.

Excellent book read brilliantly. This was one of those books that start off slowly and before you realise it you’ve been up almost all night. It’s a Space Opera in the making and hopefully there may be developments.

Will the series continue????

Another great modern day tale of Metropolitan magic. This is a great series of plots and this one closes with so many possible openings it leaves with pleasant anticipation.

Whilst the Ark Royal series have been, on the whole, a good story arc. This background filler doesn’t really add much other than a bit of clarification.

I watched them films and admire David Tennant’s skills so thought I’d give it a try for my grandson. Absolutely loved it, so much so I can’t wait to enjoy these tales with him. This was brilliant just want more.

Like any first of a series there is a lot of scene setting going on. As a result there's a tendency to over decorate. Hopefully, the future books will be leaner and have tighter storylines. After all of this the plot is good enough to sustain a longer arc.

It's always a lovely distraction to get a new Peter Grant adventure and this short story doesn't disappoint.
