every element of this book is wonderfully interesting. as with all of bills books you can put it down and pick it back up in a month and you are right back in a world of intrigue. i often revisit this book. all the things that suround you in your home that you probably wouldnt spare a thought have deep origins and have come a long way to become something that we all live with.

this is a well read book. i have enjoyed it allot and often go back to it. i was never particularly alert at school and history class mostly went in one ear and out the other. So i decided that i would like to get a better grasp of the events that preceded me and this was great way to start. it is easy going and has just the right level of depth never tacking you to far down a rabbit hole as to make you confused when you reemerge.

this is a worth while listen. though it sounds like its being read by some kind of voice emulator the content is interesting, opening what seems like closed books and offering a fresh perspective to muse over. the legends that span the world are examined and the fragments of fact are extracted to produce some convincing evidence for rethinking some of the history books.

i had tried to listen to other versions of this, many being too mono tone and boring and it had put me off till i started this one and it was brought more to life. it is well read and draws you in to an epic story that at times you just want to keep listening.
