Whilst I liked the story & narrator, the constant "dieses Hörbuch wird fortgesetzt auf CD #x" was annoying. It is one download, I don't want to know where the CD needed to be changed.

Shakespeare's life, despite the scrutiny of generations of biographers and scholars, is still a thicket of myths and traditions, some preposterous, some conflicting, arranged around the few scant facts known about the Bard: from his birth in Stratford to the bequest of his second best bed to his wife when he died.

This audiobook went through Shakespeare's life: what do we know and how do we know it? What are guesses / assumptions.
I really liked it.
One minor niggle: the chapters do not line up with the chapters in the book. I got the feeling that it was converted from CD and each audiobook chapter equals one CD. Odd.

Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

Fantastic story. I loved the dry humour of the protagonist and the technical detail.
So why not 5 stars? An audiobook is only as good as the narration, and here this book lacked. Yes, R. C. Bray manages the balance act between humour and frustration of the protagonist, bringing Mark Waldon to life. But mispronouncing the occasional (technical) term is just not on. This is a book with a lot of technical detail, not knowing how to pronounce some words makes it immediately unbelievable.
My other problem: accents. Unless you understand what makes an accent sound a certain way, do not attempt it. It's likely to go wrong. This is bad enough with regional accents. Try it with foreign accents and you make it sound like a xenophobic caricature. I wish I was making this up...

This is a series, each chapter being a new episode or installment. Treated as such it works fine. Though it might be a problem if you expect a 'normal' audiobook as recaps and credits frame each chapter.
