I read this book when it originally came out under the title of ‘Cross Stitch’. I have been a fan of the tales of Claire and Jamie ever since. I have been worried that the audiobook would not be as good as the written word. I personally like the written word better as I can get very involved in a book and in effect lose time when I am reading. This did not happen with the audiobook but it was an excellent job nonetheless. It was not until about half way through that I accepted Claire voice to be like the narrator Davina Porter. A great way to enjoy these books again though now that my eyesight is not as good as it was.

Is it any coincidence that Mike's family farm sits smack in the middle of a parcel of land that greedy Lucas Thorne desperately needs to complete the development of his resort? Sam and Sergeant Jody Harris's line of questioning stirs up a hornet's nest.

What a wonderful letter to read. The advice she gives may not be to everyone's taste, but the point is, it doesn't have to be. I wish I had had the words when my daughter was growing up. I did my best and in many ways she is a strong woman I just wish I could have helped her more. Brilliant Chimamanda, just brilliant 😃😃
