where to begin? The performance is very good but the story? well all I can say is someone has been reading tje Hand Maids Tale and decided to replicate it. The iconography is the same as are the fundementals of the story and even some of the characters. i suppose of Atwood had never written her book I would have read this and been moderately entertained but I am annoyed because it is blatent plagiarism. the ending isnt even an ending and the middle makes no sense...I cant say I would recomend this book. the frustrating thing is that thw style of writing is excellent but its a shame that it is a copy of someone elses concept.

I adored this book. I fell in love with Sue when I listened to her book Spectacles and this one did not dissappint. she writes in such a way that males me laugh out loud and rather unusually she isslso a beautiful writer for those sadwr moments. her tribute to her father made me sob without control...it was simply beautiful. the book is one I will have to buy in paperback so I may treasure it for all eternity. I suffer from anxiety and reading about how Sue struggles and feels as I do but still is such a huge success is inspirational and has pulled me through some dark days.

Well I am 2 chapters in and I have wasted a credit. although I can't fault the narrator the author really needs to check himself.
He spends a lot of his time talking about poking at dying birds with sticks, and also boasts about throwing stones at stray dogs. the way he describes Indians is frankly racist and overall the book is impossible to listen too. the author tells a self indulgent tale of exactly how not to backpack.
