Peter Grant, Detective Constable and apprentice wizard, now plays a key role in an unprecedented joint operation to bring Chorley to justice. Another cracking story following the exploits of Peter Grant.
I obviously enjoy these stories as I have been patiently waiting for this one to be released, enjoying the fact that I made time to relisten to the previous one so I wouldn’t forget the thread !
I was genuinely getting concerned that this may have been the end of the story, but twist followed twist and hopefully there is plenty of scope for the next follow on

Enjoyed the follow up to book 1, continuing as it were from exactly where it left off.
Lots of twists right up to the end , but oh no book 3 not yet published and it's a Series of 7 !!!

An unabridged reading of Philip Pullman's nerve-shattering thriller, set in the murky streets and opium dens of Old London. When 16-year old Sally's father drowns in suspicious circumstances, she is left to fend for herself in Victorian London. Although she doesn't know it, she is already in terrible danger.

I'm a great fan of northern lights and wanted to try some more Phillip Pulman, enjoyed the writing for the most part, but felt the story lost momentum at the end and it was a week ending of convenience to lead into the next book . Nevertheless enjoyable
