This writer / narrator combo is simply the best in audio books for me. I can listen to Paul Thornley all day long and it never takes me long to get through a Paul Finch. Can't wait for the next episode to find out if Gemma Piper survived.

But with the discovery of a young couple on Valentine’s Day - each with an arrow through the heart - something more sinister becomes clear. A "calendar killer" is on the loose. Detective Mark "Heck" Heckenburg is up against it. With a rising body count and the public’s eyes on him, Heck must find the killer before he executes more victims....

DI Tom Thorne must discover the link between these killings and a murder/suicide that took place twenty-five years before; a tragedy to which the only witnesses were two small children, now adults and nowhere to be found. My name is Emma Cartwright. Three years ago I was Susan Webster, and I murdered my 12-week-old son Dylan. I have no memory of what happened but you believe what your loved ones, your doctor and the police are telling you, don't you? But if you can't remember what happened, how can you be sure that they are telling the truth? And if there was the smallest chance your son was alive, wouldn't you do anything to get him back? A fantastic debut from an outstanding talent.

I waited in anticipation for the release of this audio book and have not been disappointed. on the contrary, I have listened to all three books in this trilogy and this one tops the others. Cormorant and Robyn are part of my life and I am so going to miss them until another story is written. Also read that this is to a BBC mini series in 2016. Can't wait. I have already casted it in my own mind. Great work Jk, I never really got Harry Potter but Cormoran Strike has my devotion.
