What are the most valuable things that everyone should know? Acclaimed clinical psychologist Jordan Peterson has influenced the modern understanding of personality, and now he has become one of the world's most popular public thinkers. In this book, he provides 12 profound and practical principles for how to live a meaningful life, from setting your house in order before criticising others to comparing yourself to who you were yesterday, not someone else today.

I see by some of the reviews people think this book has too much religion or he waffles on too much but Jordan uses the bible and stories from other religions as well to illustrate the psychology of mankind.

As a western/christian culture we are already familiar with most of the stories he uses and religious or not the bible does contain a lot of wisdom. He explains these stories well in the context of today’s more scientific understanding of psychology and applies their meaning to our lives today.

This book really goes into depth explaining how we work and the common ways of thinking we have which works against us and what we can do to get more out of our lives. You will need to put some effort in on your part too to get the most out of this great book.
