What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Nothing really,if i had known that after waffling on for what seemed like forever he decides to tell you his secret.....become a vegetarian.

Has Lose Weight Now put you off other books in this genre?

yes.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Richard Mitchley?

Possibly.

What character would you cut from Lose Weight Now?

All of it.....its rubbish.

Any additional comments?

If he'd have said in the notes on Audible that the secret to losing weight was becoming a vegetarian i wouldn't have wasted a credit on it.

But bulkier, bloodier, deadlier, scarier, and much, much harder to see. What would have made H Is For Hawk better?

About 3 hours shorter.she never used one word when ten words would do,I just wanted her to get to the point.

What could Helen MacDonald have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Get to the point,

What does Helen MacDonald bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

She has a very good narration style.

What character would you cut from H Is For Hawk?

None.

Any additional comments?

I tried 4 times to listen to this audio book, each time she beat me into submission,by going using too many words.

On June 5, 2002, 14-year-old Elizabeth Smart, the daughter of a close-knit Mormon family, was taken from her home in the middle of the night by religious fanatic, Brian David Mitchell and his wife, Wanda Barzee. She was kept chained, dressed in disguise, repeatedly raped, and told she and her family would be killed if she tried to escape. After her rescue on March 12, 2003, she rejoined her family and worked to pick up the pieces of her life.

Would you try another book written by Elizabeth Smart and Chris Stewart or narrated by Elizabeth Smart?

No

What didn’t you like about Elizabeth Smart’s performance?

She kept going back over and over and over again saying why she didn't escape, or why she went without a fight, and while you can understand that she would want to make the point it got to the stage where i thought she was just trying to fill the book up and got bored.

What character would you cut from My Story?

None
