A castaway book that I couldn't put down.

Overall
5 out of 5 stars

I thought this was a fab little audio book, I found it was a great end of month gap filler for when you are in between or if you just want a shorter summer read.
It was lively and interesting all the way through and I found that I couldn't put it down.
It was a typical castaway book and the narrator did a good job and by bringing the characters to life.
I would have preferred the narrator to slow down a little bit as I found her speech too fast for me, but as I was able to set a slower reading speed on my i pod I then sat back and thoroughly enjoyed listening to this audio book at a more relaxing pace.

A magical summers listen .

I don't have much patience waiting for an audio book to get better, so I am very happy to say that I found this audio book very easy to listen to right from the start.
The narration, the characters, and the storyline were really good too .
A story of true love and circumstances,
it has you wondering if two people who are clearly made for each other will ever get together .
I listened to this story with ease and it kept me listening to it right till the very end. It has lovely descriptions and I found myself wanting to listen to it to find out what happened next.
A tale of true love and those old fashioned class rules that create the type of sadness which pulls on the heartstrings and makes a person sigh.

Not fussy on tear jerker's so this book wasn't one of my best choices.
I turned it off before I got to the end because I couldn't face a sad ending, but
if you like tear jerker's then you will like this book,
If you want cheering up then choose another book instead .

A jolly good listen.

I wanted to give this book half star more, but half a star wasn't an option.
This book it had loads of great characters in it and the narrator was very good. I personally found the accents a little too akky sounding but the characters easily made up for that as the narrator made them really come alive.
I loved Anna with her lovely elegant voice and zest for life and her big burly loving husband Ernie, it was very true to life, sad and happy at times and rather romantic, it also provoked feelings and thoughts of how one might feel in some of the characters heart felt situations. I found that I wanted to find out what happened next.
All in all it was thought provoking and a jolly good listen.

This book was well worth buying, it was full of family warmth and it really gave a sense of homecoming, plus the narration was very good too.

If you like ships and history then this is for you

I found this audio book rather hard work at times, and although I liked the narrators accents and voice I found the history and ships was not for me, but to be fair if you do like ships and historic battles all entwined with past and present love story's then you will enjoy it.

Kick off your shoes relax and enjoy a great book.

There were some great characters that were brought to life by the excellent narrators.
It is one of those books that I could read over and again.
