I don't know who wrote this book but it reads like a bad Google translation. The syntax is horrible, I had to struggle all the time to understand what the author wanted to say and some sentences are downright unintelligible. I went to check the paperback edition and it has the same problem. Also, the narration is slow, the voice quiet and almost robotic. I really fail to see how people can give this book 5 stars.

I thought I would get more practical advice from this book but there is very little of it. Also, the narration isn't very good.

The book goes in deep theoretical explanations, causes etc. about OCD, which is ok, but I expected much more concrete advice. Also, the narration is not the best.

Nothing special... the perfomance is very good, but the story is average. Maybe it's different if you've read the books first and know the story, but the radio plays, though executed perfectly, just didn't do it for me.

Just to clarify, this is not a guided meditation. It's just music, mostly gongs and some bells, that can help you focus.

I barely made it through Chapter 1 before returning the book. The author uses no inflections, overpronounces random words and uses the same identical voice for all protagonists. I couldn't make out what was what. I see from the reviews that some people liked his style though. Definitely listen to a preview before buying this one.

Lots of theory, not much "how to"

Only the last 2 chapters give actual advice on how to improve your own self-esteem. The rest is all theory on how self-esteem works and is built in children. Not all bad but not what I expected.

I actually got irritated listening to the guy. Instead of guiding you through relaxation, he keeps saying "perhaps you feel heavy". Well perhaps not! Also he can't count, he said imagine a 20 step staircase and then he counted 22 steps down.

It's basically the same text (positive affirmations) read in each chapter over a different background noise (beach, rain, birds and so on). I like to listen to it while I am starting my day.

In the beginning there is some brief and general guidance to relaxation, the rest is just music. Expected something different.
