Unbelievably bad narration

The story seems kind of dense and twisty, but I've no idea if it's any good due to THE WORST narration I've ever heard. Every character has an accent that is 50% generic, borderline offensive Middle-Eastern and 50% randomly chosen Welsh, Irish, Australian, Jamaican, all mangled beyond any saving. A credit totally wasted.

Or Confessions Of an Embittered Ex-Mattress Salesman. Should have got the ghostwriter to narrate it too. He might have had a better go at pronouncing the long words. Awful, anecdotal and celebrity obsessed. Avoid.

Every awful trope of the self help genre is here in abundance. Advice so powerful and usable that you could have got it for free from Whitney Houston decades ago.

6 Type of friends you should avoid when your shame metastasizes (no word of an exaggeration) meaning even if this trite, self-absorbed, 90s entitlement-porn works, 1 in 6 of your circle of friends is going to have to put up with a LOT of everyone else's nonsense. I suspect that a lucrative book deal might be a real massage to your bruised, disappointed sense of importance, so buying this book will definitely help one person. It's just not you. Look elsewhere.

Story's good but done no favours by the narrator's deeply annoying impressions and accents.

An unfocused plot and flat, poorly edited narration left me underwhelmed. There are better versions of this type of story by other authors.

Terrible new age music, narrated without the slightest awareness from a bullet point script. Arse.
