I first got into Jodi Taylor through her St Mary's series, and was intrigued when I saw she had written a completely different type of book. The nothing girl is I think one of my new favourites! Excellently written as always, and you feel like you are really in the story. Comedy, romance, and drama all come together in the perfect mix, and the narrator perfectly captures the tone of every scene.

Brilliant re-telling

I loved the storyline - a perfect re-telling of the classic Jane Austen story; it even seemed to retain the same feelings and 'aura' of the original while giving it a modern twist. But the author also made the characters their own person - rather than (as in so many modern variations of Jane Austen books) simply calling them 'miss elliot' or 'captain wentworth'. As an audio book it is also very well portrayed. The narrator has a good pitch and is able to en capture the personalities of each different character. A strongly recommended audiobook!
