Hey, buster! Normal life is a total yawn. Break out of boredom with this super-awesome series from multi-million-copy best seller Lauren Child. And get ready to meet Ruby Redfort: code-cracking genius. Intrepid detective. Schoolgirl. Ruby Redfort burst onto the scene in October 2011, and, in the words of Julia Eccleshare, "put imagination and fun back into childhood". Now, everyone's favourite girl detective is back for a second mind-blowing instalment, packed with all the off-the-wall humour, action, and friendship of the first book.

The narration of this brilliant story is so dreadful that we had to stop listening. My daughter loves all these books because she’s both a Lauren Childs and a spy story fan, but whoever is narrating this makes all the genius-level characters and instructors sound like bored, sarcastic, lobotomised surf dudes, and makes Mrs Drisco sound like an hysterical lunatic. Completely ruined it!
