One psychopath. One killer. The Stabber. Six victims, all wife beaters. Each stabbed to death through their left eye. Six victims, all wife beaters. Each stabbed to death through their left eye. The cobbled lanes and backstreets of St Andrews provide the setting for these brutal killings.

Enjoyable story. Tricky to get used to the accent.

Would you consider the audio edition of Eye For An Eye to be better than the print version?

Haven't read the print version. I like the Scottish accent and don't generally struggle with accents but there were parts of this novel that I had to replay.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Eye For An Eye?

I like the turning point near the end.

What about David Monteath’s performance did you like?

It fitted the story well but I did struggle with some of the narration and had to rewind occasionally.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. It took me a while.

Any additional comments?

I would certainly go on to read the next books in the series. It was a good story and held my interest but one I could put down.

What made the experience of listening to Mr Men Stories Volume 2 (Vintage Beeb) the most enjoyable?

What's not to love about the Mr Men stories. My children struggle to settle to sleep in the evenings so we listen to stories of their favourite books. Sometimes they read along (little one) and sometimes they just listen and relax. They love these stories. Highly recommend.

What does Arthur Lowe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Exactly as hoped and expected. Perfect.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, there are several stories in the collection so you can pick and choose.

Any additional comments?

We would love more Mr Men books and some LIttle Miss ones. Would also love it the Chapter selection would have the title of the chapter or story on it. I find this very frustrating on all the audible books we have.

Will he ever bump into one that's suitable for him? Mr Fussy is a fussy old fusspot who dusts his flowers and irons his shoelaces!

Would you listen to Mr Men again? Why?

Absolutely. What's not to love about the Mr Men stories. My children struggle to settle to sleep in the evenings so we listen to stories of their favourite books. Sometimes they read along (little one) and sometimes they just listen and relax. They love these stories. Highly recommend.

What did you like best about this story?

All of it. The narrator has a voice like you would expect. The stories are exactly how you remember from being a child.

Which character – as performed by Arthur Lowe – was your favourite?

All.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Children are constantly giggling throughout.

Any additional comments?

Just wish the Little Miss books were on Audible too. And maybe some more of the Mr Men stories. :-)
