Really improves as you get into this book and the reporter improves with each book
Very atmospheric not sure where it’s meant to be as use to live in on the English Rivera but it’s a made up place.
You won’t guess who did it
Enjoy

Can’t recommend this enough. I had a few night mares while reading / listening to this and got very cross with my husband for being a man after one but it’s reviews are almost totally 5 stars and well earned I feel
In case you happen across this book do read the hand maids tale first
It’s excellent

This is about a woman going through physical abuse BUT A so much much too
It’s also about a young girl (14 ish) who went through a horrific ordeal when she was 6.
Both lives collide in a jaw dropping way. It’s si fi shodingers cat in a listen in one go page turner
Highly recommended give it a try you can alway return it I don’t want to add spoilers.
So glad I chose it
Narration is BRILLIANT 10/10 ditto the book
Ps not like her previous books I think that’s important to note as many people will have been turned off.she really is a great writer!!! Personally loved all her books

Would you try another book written by Sebastian Fitzek or narrated by the narrators?

If you are like me gross violence etc isn't a reason not to buy a audio book Though this was just too out there for me so far fetched & definitely not a 'merry little Xmas tale'. This arrived on my ipad just before Christmas and I couldn't wait, maybe I hoped too much though instead of really feeling for the characters it all seemed to much Just my opinion give it a go the drama & actors are utterly brilliant & parts are good.Oh and the story doesn't end at the 'audible thanks you for listening' keep listening for something loose ends to be tied up as I was utterly confused until I got the Post script I would like to say why not try out the other wonderful audio dramas by audio first if you haven't already AMOK was by far my personal fav Happy listeningMarie

Excellent book true Amis
This is obviously a sad & grim subject matter
Though the Nazis are made to look grotesque ( as if they could look anything else!)
It's also wickedly funny in places
7 chapters each told from the perspective of ......
1 young blonde blue eye nazi who's uncle is Martin Boorman ( spelling)
2 a camp kamandant a repulsive man
3 a Jewish man who is forced to help in the final solution
The narration is great
Best book this year and I fly through books

Brilliant, long worth listening too
Slightly fantastical in places
Do not recommend the authors book set the Deep South but this is really different set in London 2011
Enjoy
Also if you hate a book you can return it so many audible members do not realise, I use the offer and try books I would be unsure of without 'great listen guarantee ' hope this helps
