It was free so tried it. Dull, then recalled this was the bloke that put black dye on his face & a pineapple on his head to mock a black footballer.

What made the experience of listening to The Greatest Controversies of Early Christian History the most enjoyable?

For me, Bart Ehrman makes very deep subjects easy to understand and this set of lectures is very well broken down so the various topics are easy to access and replay as required.

What did you like best about this story?

It's not a story as such. As an atheist myself I liked the wealth of knowledge obtained from this to discuss with my Christian friends.

Have you listened to any of Professor Bart D. Ehrman’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I've several books by him...they're always wonderfully narrated and clear to understand. This is certainly one of my favourites.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

A film to hopefully make Christians actually read their books and think

Any additional comments?

If you are religious or an atheist like me, I recommend everything by Bart Ehrman. This is maybe not the best starter though.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes because having discovered Humanism myself and dumping the fears imposed by organised Religion I'd like others to discover what I have....and importantly THINK about it and for themselves.

Who was your favorite character and why?

God is an interesting character but hardly a favourite.

What about William Roberts’s performance did you like?

It was fine but wish AC Grayling would read his books...he has such a great speaking voice as can be seen on You Tube.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Most gods are monsters...if you read about them.

Any additional comments?

Glad I bought it.

If you are familiar with Mr Partridge's career via the DVD's and like them, this is absolutely essential. It expands on those incidents we all remember and fills in all the gaps too from his birth to North Norfolk digital radio. The chapters are split nicely so you can easily locate your favourites but you'll probably find anywhere will do. Absolutely wonderfully funny, my best audio book buy.

Sadly Peter seems to be so in awe & so left behind by his brother, the only avenue for him seems to be his an opposite stance on nearly everything. Very very poor.
