The Grateful Heart
- A Benedictine Monk and Religious Scholar Explores How to Open Your Heart to the Blessings Awaiting
- By: David Steindl-Rast
- Narrated by: David Steindl-Rast
- Length: 1 hr and 37 mins
- Original Recording
The fountainhead of all philosophy and religion, teaches Brother David Steindl-Rast, is our sense of amazement at being in the world. To cross the gap between doctrine and the divine, we have been given the gift of prayer. In The Grateful Heart, you will hear Brother David describe prayer not as a dogmatic ritual but as a way of opening to the blessings that await us in everyday life.

I have loved listening to this, very calming. There is something he says in this that I have found fascinating & keep thinking about: Not in these words but he says it is better to have less and be grateful for it than have more & not be grateful for it.
